Two up front, eh, Arsene?

Of course AW is having an affair. He is French after all. That’s how they live their lives. His missus? It won’t bother her…she expects it. At least it is with some leggy blonde bird and not Pat Rice. Ooh la la.
Moving swiftly on to footballing matters and there is plenty of stuff in the appears this morning ahead of the Premier League game against Newcastle at the home of football tomorrow. Theo has had his say after he scored our only goal in the shabby 2-1 reverse in the Champions League clash with Shakhtar Donetsk on Wednesday and it seems he is setting his targets high.
He told the Mail: ‘I aim to score between 15 and 20 this season, in all competitions. If I stay fit I hope I can reach my target and it would be a great achievement for me. I had six weeks out injured so, without that, it could have been more goals. I am fit, ready to go, happy and I am getting goals.’
Gael Clichy had a shocker midweek and it was his failure to clear the ball that let in the home side for their second, of course, tapped in by Eduardo. Yet it seems the full-back is close to securing a new deal at the Arsenal despite his poor form.
The Mirror reports that AW has begun contract talks with Clichy. The paper say he is poised to follow Jack Wilshere by committing his future to the club as he is likely to be offered a new five-year deal. Five years! My exclamation mark.
As mentioned the Geordies are in north London tomorrow and we are looking in reasonable shape in terms of our squad.  RVP continues to get fitter but will not make tomorrow’s match. Cesc Fabregas, Alex Song, Andrei Arshavin and Denilson are all available after missing the Shakhtar shambles while TV5 is said to be only “days” from returning. Meanwhile it has emerged that Abou Diaby may require surgery on his ankle.
See you over the Arsenal tomorrow…
