bloody squidge, the only person in recent memory that has come back quickly from a hamstring injury. If it was anyone else we would not of seen them for 5/6 weeks. Oh well bye bye clean sheets and the progress of kozza because those two do not play well together whatsoever. Heres hoping we sign cahill in the summer. I thought at the very least almunia would be gone, and that chamberlin kid from southampton would be coming in.

Youre a tool. If you watch ANY of the recent games, you’ll see that Koscielny and Djourou have been nearly perfect together. No useless, overpriced, english crap needed tyvm. We are officially playing the most fluid and beautiful football in europe. Fcuk a barca!!

Sell Bendtner (for what, maybe get 10-15million for him) and go in for Torres. We’d effectively be getting him for around 25million. We’d be pretty formidable with a striker like that. Plus, it may help persuade Cesc to stay.

No shock there wenger do you want to win the league or put it another way do you want Bara to make mugs of us again when kos or djourou get injured cause Squillaci is not good enough for the big games song better cover but we need him in midfield with jack & fab , stop being a tight & get some class CB by the way buy Torres i think Marcde meant do you know anything about the players we buy , we can’t even give soton £10m do you think we would splash the cash 40-50 ?

completely disagree on torres… and getting him is not the Arsenal Way, anyway. AW has indicated through the years, young players can improve by 15% or 20% in a year whereas older players can hold steady or increase by not more than 5%. When AW sees a player starting to level out in his improvement then he moves them on, Look at Viera or Henry who we would of all liked to have kept but AW saw then leveling off and maximized the value for them. And then the more recent sales Toure or Ade. Therefore its not what a Torres can do for us now but where he can help take us that is what AW seeks. And this defines his acquisitions and sales.

Thus, I personally think Torres would NEVER come to us almost at any price cause its simply not how we build and grow.

I note the exceptions to my above rule– Sol and Silvestre brought in on fairly short contracts for a very particular purpose.

Disagree Goonamerica. I think Torres would come. If he’s considering Chelsea then i think he would certainly consider Arsenal. Expansive and expressive football is what he’s all about and it’s what we excel in. And asking where he could take us, well, his goals – and he has a high commercial profile – could propel us internationally, footballing and commercially. This is what BIG businesses do and it’s an area that we’re failing in.

And Wayne, i see your point, maybe i read it wrongly. It is wishful thinking on my part, i know, i’m well aware of it. It’s a pity. We’re so close to something huge but if only a couple of steps could be taken. And they’re not even that difficult to make. But i guess it’s been like this for a few years now. If RVP stays fit though, we have a good chance of something.

salute you goonamerica… plus, what would i do with chamakh( absolutley not bad for his first season so far, bendther(you so the goal in the carling, add to that last seasons performance upfront when fit and playing, which he is getting to this season only now) and vela who we will loan out to a premier league level team, and still is below 25 years of age?

Torres would be a dream but there’s no chance. Wenger would rather play Bentnder even though he’s not good enough for Sunderland nevermind us. Just like he did with Aliaderre. And Vela???? What????? He couldn’t even get on the subs bench for the carling cup the other night. Do me a favour.

the thing is, squillaci may not be back from his injury. It’s just arsene’s ploy to calm glory hunters. iam with him, we don’t need anyone in transfer window

Here we go again, entering the final 4 months of the season and hoping players don’t get injured.
Why, oh why, oh why? Would any other ‘top’ manager be acting like this? No, they would be banging on the Chairman’s door asking for transfers, just in case.
    Same every year, isn’t it?

I like chams hold up play and heading ability… I just wish he were a wee bit more selfish in front of goal. He tries those little dish off passes when I think he should shoot and let his teammate gobble the gk’s rebound of a quality shot.
What would a Puyol (sp) do in our side?

no surprise really is it!….he wouldnt buy a central defender if he was down to one,,,,he’d put song back and play denilson or eastmond. He thinks thats good enough and when he loses games due to defensive errors he just makes some lame excuse.Hes so foolhardy its unbelievable. Carling cup i think we can win…all other trophies not much chance.SAME OLD STUFF YEAR AFTER YEAR

I don’t miss a game and that is saying alot considering in Australia we get games on at 330 in the morning sometimes. I would be the first to say kozza and djourou have been playing great together (nothing pleases me more infact because ive always thought djourou has had great potential).

So you are saying strengthening the squad is stupid? getting rid of squidge and buying a younger, stronger, faster, cahill is a good idea. Having CBS of kozza, djourou, vermaelen, and cahill would be perfect because we have cover for injuries/suspensions, and with the abundance of games we can rotate safely without a major loss in quality.

So fcuk off mate, this here is a site for debate and opinion, slating someone for bringing up a point about strengthening the defensive cover we have (widely known that we need to) is just ridiculous

Honestly i am pissed with wenger….he acts like he has a crystal ball…how does he know if 3-4 players won’t get injured all of a sudden…when that happens, he starts bemoaning his luck……all he needs is a loan signing to cover @ center half………he has belief in to many mediocre players…….beginning to tire me…….
