The Inside Arsenal – Monthly Fantasy Football
Our January fantasy football competition is in full flow, so if you haven’t picked a team yet, then get in there and do it.
Insidearsenal and SquadGod are giving away £500 worth of cash and prizes to the top managers next month, broken down like this:
- 1st place: £170 cash and £170 free bet
- 2nd place: £50 cash and £50 free bet
- 3rd place: £30 cash and £30 free bet
As I said, the January competition is already running, so make sure you enter your teams as soon as possible, otherwise you’ll be playing catch up!

- Monthly fantasy football works exactly like standard, season-long games, but at the end of every month your points re-set back to zero, and you get given 11 free transfers to select an entirely new team for the month ahead.
- Everyone in the group competes for ‘Manager of the Month’ each month – so players should make sure they look at the fixtures for the month ahead! (i.e. know which teams are playing Derby, and get some of their players in your team!).
- SquadGod uses stats provided by Opta for a much more in depth scoring system – Attributes such as passing accuracy, tackling success and interceptions add to traditional fantasy football point-earners (goals/clean sheets/assists) to make each manager think a little bit more about a player’s all round game, other than just picking players who score goals (e.g. putting aside the clean sheets, Gael Clichy is actually one of the highest scoring players on the game, due to the amount of interceptions he makes, and his tackling success).
- Everyone in the Inside Arsenal group will also be automatically be entered into the overall SquadGod league, and be in with the chance of winning £500 worth of prizes each month.
The Game Rules are:
- Team budget: £100m
- Formation: 4-4-2 or 4-3-3
- Maximum players from one club: 2
- Transfers: 1 free transfer per gameweek. Additional transfers cost 20 points each, deducted at the end of the gameweek. (11 free transfers will be given to each player after the transfer deadline has passed for the last gameweek of each calendar month – giving them the chance to select an entirely new team for the month ahead).
