FTK Blog: Alvarez video and player profile/ Call for Usmanov?

RicardoAlvarez

Ricardo who? This player is being rumoured to soon become the first Arsenal signing of the summer in the likelihood of Nasri’s departure which now in addition to murmurs of Bendtner and Carlos Vela appear to be some of the players heading for the exit. One hopes that Denilson should also be on his way pausing briefly to take Eboue with him. Arsene Wenger has vowed not to allow Gael Clichy or Samir Nasri to leave on a free like Mathieu Flamini, so talks must also be underway. We need to have completed our squad changes by the 8th of August which is the deadline for submission of the player lists to UEFA prior to participation in the Champions League Play offs on August 16&23 or 17/24.

Ricardo Gabriel Álvarez  known as Ricky is seen from the video below appears to be a typical Wenger pick with good athleticism and close ball skills. He is relatively unknown to western European audiences, but received many plaudits for his last appearances at the Copa Libertadores

Here is a particularly good youtube video of the player in a variety of positions and elements of his play which remind me of van Persie’s good footwork.

Call for Usmanov?

usmanov

As I had intimated in my last blog, Alisher Usmanov is the key to securing the custodianship at Arsenal, providing he does not support any moves to introduce dividend payments on shares at Arsenal Football Club. His refusal to sell shares to Stan Kroenke, means that we cannot become a rich man plaything anytime soon. So we all owe Alisher Usmanov a debt of gratitude…

I never thought that I would be saying that, but thank you all the same.

What do I believe needs to be done now?

1.)  I call for Alisher USMANOV to be invited onto the Arsenal Board

2.)  I call for Alisher USMANOV to cement his love for Arsenal by paying off the stadium debt. This will be allowed under the UEFA fair play rules and would liberate £20 million of interest payments per season at a stroke.

3.)  I call for the AST to contact USMANOV in a move to open further talks with points 1 and 2 above in mind.

4.)  I call for Ivan Gazidis to facilitate any such moves that will allow better unity between the major shareholders and the AST including getting our Chairman Peter Hill-Wood to express regret for his ill timed and alleged unhelpful comments about Arsenal fans, thus bringing back stability to the wider Gooner family.

For fuck’s sake man! The AST comments were ill-timed and monumentally stupid. We were still in the hunt for a couple of pots when they came out and said they were disappointed in our season, and the Chairman let the morons have it.

He didn’t say ALL Gooners were silly and stupid, he said those specific Gooners were. I have been a Gooner for over 15 years now, and I totally agreed with him. It’s amazing that fans feel they can abuse and disrespect anyone and everyone associated with the club, but the moment they get a little back, they go running to their mommies.

    Grow the fuck up.

You are a stupid, ignorant and naive fool FTK! Usmanov is nothing more than a venture capitalist, interested in only short term gains.

His continued involvement in Arsenal is a bad thing. he neds to go, he is not wanted. Thinking he is a force for good is hilarious and shows how desperate some media fed sheep have become.

The Toad already came up with a scheme last year to clear our debt in one swoop but the directors rejected it as it meant directors would have to put money in.

Haha you speak of respect and yet you come to the man’s blog and curse at him and use words only scum would use. We get your point, no need to completely insult FTK. He’s a Gooner just like you. It’s people like you who divide us.

When “one of our own” is promoting the media’s agenda of “Arsenal in crisis” it gets my goat. Hill-Wood’s words are available everywhere in full, yet some like FTK choose to deliberately misquote him and say he insulted all Gooners, which he didn’t.

And “The Law” is a reference to Judge Dredd ;-)

    Today’s gossip includes the following:-

    1) Clichy wanted by Inter Milan for £5.5million.
    2) Arshavin wanted by Zenit for £7million
    3) Bendtner wanted by Bayern for £9million.

I make that £21.5million, more than enough to buy Leighton Baines from Everton.

By clearing out Denilson, Diaby, Rosicky and Squillaci and adding £10million from the kitty we should be able to afford Cahill.

After Fabregas’ disgraceful decision, to go to watch the Spanish Grand Prix instead of attending his paymasters final match of the season, there can surely be no future for him at Arsenal. As club captain his total lack of respect for the fans, his team-mates and the club shows that he has decided to go to his beloved Barcelona…and the sooner the better.

I am a simple Arsenal fan with not much knowledge abt whats all this about management, stakes, directors. But reading this rant makes me feel there are too many things rotten up there. Is that what is keeping AW still as a manager of Arsenal. Is AW taking advantage of vested interests at the top and having a ball at screwing the fans’ happiness?

GOD, Please sack AW, if the board doesn’t. I just want to see him go because i know he is too old and stubborn to change. In Arsene we RUST!

The Spanish Grand Prix is a Blue Riband event for Cesc’s mother with an office at the circuit, so I understand why Cesc was there. Cesc cut the ribbon last year to open the office, then of course Cesc was injured and renting Deco’s old flat!

FTK good work, we have to knock some sense into those muppets who blame Mr Wenger for all the ills in the world.

Not sure if usmanov is the answer still very weary of him.

One thing for certain is that this board needs shakeing up. They have no ambition at all, they are happy to finish in the top four and make a profit every year.

Lying to use every year telling us we can win trophies and taking our hard earned cash.

Arsenal please get some ambition and put some pride back into our beloved club.

USMANOV is a Manyoo supporter, so calling for him to absorb the existing debt to solidify his “love for Arsenal” is hopeless. We’re an investment for him, nothing more. I’ve got plenty of problems with the board, but none of them have mentioned taking dividends from the club, as USMANOV has. Also, he’s suspected of more than one rape and several murders in Uzbekistan and Russia, his rise to power based on mafiosi action in charge of utility companies in the former USSR. We wouldn’t know any of this as USMANOV sued several Arsenal blogs when they tried to print these things (Arseblog among them). This is the WRONG man to turn to for anything our club needs. Our former man to the fleshpots and brothels of Tashkent was given massive coverage because of the silly beggars (partners) in the legal practice that tried to close down the Internet link to the lies based on a conviction in a corrupt regime. The same legal firm has caused further umbrage by trying to close down Facebook and Twitter, because of a certain player. The silly partners are identifiable by visiting that legal firm’s web site. My view is that the partners concerned should be tarred and feathered and chased out of town.

As regards the criminal claims against Mr Usmanov, these were printed in one issue in 1998 and withdrawn with abject apologies 2 issues later. This was made after an editorial check on the article proved all claims to be baseless.

The rape was added later after a third person was indicted (?), guilt by association. The criminal connection is based upon being brought up by Mr Usmanov’s parents with a neighbour whose child may be or not be an associate of gangsters. Mr Usmanov from the Russian words used, was guilty of cheating or swindling at cards, most likely bridge.

I am surprised that Mr Usmanov paid anything, after the partners concerned, made such a mess of his problem. Mr Usmanov is not an angel, he avoided the Afghan draft if I am not mistaken?

The AST (of which I am a life member) have some very high profile shareholders and memebers who will give their views at our meeting with Ivan Gazidis on 16th June. I shall ask Mr Gazidis if PHW comments were appropriate and let you know the response.

Without Usmanov’s refusal to sell we would have become a rich man’s plaything.
ready to be cashed in at any price with no guarantee that we would not have a leveraged buy out.

I prefer balance and our present format. Usmanov deserves a Board seat irrespective of his motives, it is for the Board to be held accountable to ALL shareholders…

Usmanov would tell you that he was imprisoned on false pretences and never found guilty of the allegations.

I have read the informations and also posted a blog with letters exchanged between Usmanovs representative and the Guardian.

What evidence do you have to substantiate your allegations?

What evidence do you have to support your assertion that he is a Man U supporter.

This Blog distances itself from additonal allegations that lack objective evidence. BE VERY CAREFUL what you state as fact…

FTK re Mr Usmanov. Most of it is in Russian and it is very scattered.

In an interview with Iain Cobain, guardian.co.uk dated 19th November 2007, Usmanov mentioned for the first time in English of the third person sentenced. In a question about President Karimov, Usmanov mentions two other people. In a question about Mr Shteinberg, Mr Usmanov offers the reporter a copy of the original charge.

In neither case did Cobain pursue the obvious, especially the offer of the copy of the original charge.

It is that interview that made me seek the facts. I will check if that article is still on the internet.

    Bear with me.

Maybe I don’t understand but if Usmanov loves the club so much and his only intention was for the clubs debt to be paid off then why can’t he offer interest free loans to the club. Or is it a case of I’ll put my money in as long as I’m not the only one? If I was a billionaire, I would just give massive donations to the club and I guess most of the fans who read this blog would do the same, so if someone with the kind of money he has was actually a lover of arsenal surely they would do the same.

like all investors in the epl, the ones at arsenal clearly looked around at clubs they could potentially buy and then decided on one they had a good chance of making a profit at, bought into it and then claimed they were life long fans with a love for the club and its history etc. I would assume his real love is for a club in russia as kroenke’s real love is for basketball and the denver nuggets.

It seems rather an empty gesture to propose a rights issue (other than for publicity) because he obviously knew that it wouldn’t be accepted. Whether that was the right decision or not I have no idea but did he really think there was a chance they would go for it? I doubt it.

Frankly I don’t think anyone outside of the hisghest circles of the russian government or those very close to usmanov will ever know the truth in any of these matters.

Surely someone can’t be that unlucky to be wrongly accused of several violent crimes and be imprisoned for 6 years and just be a normal law abiding citizen. I mean, what has he done to upset so many people so much that they would accuse him of all this stuff if he was just a normal businessman. He can’t be completely innocent and if he is then he is literally the unluckiest man in the world.

So who doesn’t like him and why would be a question that would need to be answered if he is really saying that everything has been made up. Was he a political dissident in the ussr? Is he just not easy to get on with?! What incentive do people have to fabricate such libelous stories if they are so untrue??

It seems to me there is a lot of “my word against yours” going on and the it will take some thing extraordinary for the truth to be made public. So with regards to the ownership of Arsenal, I no longer care who owns the club, (because reallistically fan ownership isn’t going to happen) only what they do with it and obviously the person who has the best intentions for the club and has the skill to run the club in the best way is the best person to own it (risking stating the obvious here aren’t I).

The latest news reports concerning Ricky Alvarez’s rumored done deal to Arsenal is quite frankly only garb (Goal.com for verification). This is embarrasing both for the player and for Arsenal FC. Why didn’t a statement from the club come out to clarify the situation. When Manchester Utd signify their interest in a player i.e David de gea, they actually end up signing the guy and with ease to boot. Why do we always struggle unless were signing a novice or “youth prospect”. Do we not hold much sway in world football anymore. Another point is why was there such confusion on the part of the press when reporting this players alledged pre-contract agreement when a representative of our club has only flew out to watch the player recently.
