Eden Hazard Is “Not For Sale”

1-Eden-Hazard-1

Lille have stated that Eden Hazard will not leaving the Ligue 1 champions this summer.

General manager Frederic Paquet has issued a warning, confirming that the Belgian starlet is not for sale, despite a number of reports linking him to Arsenal Football Club.

“Eden is not for sale. He will not be leaving this summer, whether to Paris or anywhere else. The president has been very clear about this. He will be with us next season.”

This news comes after the 20-year Belgian suggested he was keen for a move to The Gunners this summer.

“I want to play at a big club. I have no preference.”

But with potential bids coming in from Europe’s elite clubs, it would be hard for Lille to turn down such lucrative deals, especially if Hazard himself expresses a desire to move away from the club.

I don’t think this deal is quite over, not just yet. It will be interesting to see how this story develops, over the next few months or so.

In related news, Arsenal are hopeful that they can tie up a £12m deal by the end of this week for Gervinho, Hazard’s team-mate at Lille.

I'm 20 and have been an Arsenal season ticket holder since 2006. My family has had Arsenal links since the 1920's, and the support is still going strong. I am at every home game, and also manage to get to multiple away games, when I can. I have been writing for various blogs and websites since I was 15, but have now settled down and have become a regular writer for Arsenalinsider. I also run my own Pro Evolution Soccer blog, Only Pro Evolutions. Arsenal is my passion. Writing is my passion. I was never good enough to play for The Arsenal, so I'll do the next best thing!

Not particularly interested in how the story develops over the next few months or so, only in how it develops up to the end of the transfer window.
