The Barcelona bullies are back in full force, with the Catalan mayor Estanislau Fors i Garcia comparing Fabregas’ situation at Arsenal to a kidnapping.
If only most kidnapping victims got to earn millions of pounds whilst captured, as well as being worshipped every week by thousands of loving supporters. It’s a hard life.
It’s up there with Sepp Blatter’s slavery comments about Cristiano Ronaldo a few years back. When did football become quite so detached from the real world?
“We want him to come right away, he is experiencing a kidnapping,” Garcia said.
“If the English are so honourable they should behave properly. He [Arsčne Wenger] has to stop clowning around because it’s disorienting for all of us.”
Also, if we’re the evil kidnappers, it doesn’t exactly relfect too well on Barca does it? If someone stole your child and you were stingy about the ransom fee, you’re not the most loving parent in the world, are you?
Perhaps they should start up a charity – just £1000 a week could end the torture and bring poor Cesc home.
Or they could shut up. Either way is fine with me.
