Now Wenger turns attention to £10m Dann

national_newspapers_montage

Arsene Wenger will make a £10m bid to bring Birmingham defender Scott Dann to Arsenal after becoming increasingly frustrated over Bolton’s demands for Gary Cahill.

That is just one of the claims doing the rounds this morning as we head towards the firndly game with Cologne in Germany on Saturday.

The bigger question, however, is will Cesc Fabregas travel? A story circulating yesterday suggested he won’t and the club shops had been alerted not to sell shirts with the skipper’s name on them.

The Mirror claims Cesc has made an plea to AW to let him join Barcelona. The paper says he wants to quit Arsenal and is desperate for AW not to block his “dream move” back to the Nou Camp.

Barcelona are said to have sent a delegation, led by vice-president Josep Maria Bartomeu, to London to try to negotiate a deal within the next 48 hours and “avoid any further tensions.”

Meanwhile, the Sun says AW is under pressure from the board to start spending. It says: “Some Emirates chiefs are baffled £11million star Gervinho is the only major arrival, even though the start of the Premier League season is just three weeks away”.

“Wenger has focused on attempting to keep both Samir Nasri and Cesc Fabregas. And he wants to tie up Robin van Persie to a new deal. He is also considering offering new terms to other emerging players at the club.

“Yet despite being given a large amount to spend, Wenger has failed to lure anyone else other than Charlton’s £1m defender Carl Jenkinson.”

BTW, great song doing the rounds on Twitter yesterday to the tune of Rock the Casbah by The Clash: “Gervinho don’t like ‘em, f*** the T********, f*** the T********”

less than 4 weeks to go till the new season and this wanker wenger has signed only gervinho. Good job wenger, lets just settle for 4th shall we. We have a captain that is telling all his bum boyfriends to do all the talking for him at Barcelona, we have a star player in Nasri that with less than 4 weeks to go till the new season hasnt even sgined a new contract, out left back has gone to be replaced by injury prongibbs, all our other average players want to leave, now tell me what is there to look forward too, basiclly this is the same team as the last 6+ years with even more unrest in the sqaud. Wenger trully has screwed up his so callproject youth, all these project youth players want out, yet Wenger is so blind he cant even see it. When they want out he replaces them with even more average youth players, and so the circle continues.

I said it and still mentained it , that arsenal football will still survive without ARSEN WENGER. Kindly get rid of this man. As we can see he don’t want to help aresnal. If he remains there till next season all the best players must definitely leave the club. Look all his best players is reqesting to leave, and no big players outside is accepting to join him.It is a total shame.

Didn’t expect anything else, did you ? Despite what he says, his actions prove differently. This man won’t EVER change his ways. You should know that by now.Frugality is in his d.n.a.He simply HATES spending money ( even now, when we have plenty of it ).
He won’t pay the asking price for Cahill, he offers half of what Everton want for Jagielka, ( although he admittedly is over priced ),and if any club wants more than 10 million for a player, Wenger runs a mile. Meanwhile, he’s buying or trying to buy, every youngster in sight. The latest being this Nepalese defender.
Same approach = same result = no change.

    “In Arsene we rust.”

If there is any grain of truth, in this report, then at least and at last it appears that the manager is attempting to address the defensive deficiencies so obvious to all and sundry last season.

The club should now issue an ultimatum to Barcelona … Come up with £40 million and sign Fabregas within the next seventy two hours or admit that they don’t have the money and shut up for good!

let them have fab. but only for the right bargain…. we are begining to think of a future that is a little bit promising without him in the picture of the glory days… forget barca when xavi retires their reign will surely come to an end and iniesta would already have come of age to be playing good football again in his curling life…….be a true gunner………wanting to see at least a trophy next season…. hope we could have that and start thinking positive
