Wantaway Nasri snubs Wenger’s new deal at Arsenal

national_newspapers_montage

Samir Nasri will see out the year remaining on his contract and leave Arsenal on a free next summer. The Sun claims the French midfielder has told team-mates he won’t put pen to paper on a new deal at the club.

The paper says he will snub the £115,000-a-week contract being offered by Arsene Wenger to try to get Arsenal to accept a £20million move to Manchester City.

When asked if Nasri’s future at Arsenal is sorted, the paper reports that AW said: “Not completely but I want him to stay. He knows that. Hopefully we can sort that out in the coming weeks.”

The rip-roaring Reds face Cologne in Germany this afternoon and we should get the first glimpse of Gervinho in an Arsenal shirt. Coverage of the game starts at 2.30pm GMT on ESPN for those who haven’t travelled.

One more thing, I have declared the back-page round-up a Fabregas Free Zone for the forseeable future. I can’t be alone in feeling totally hacked off with the “will he, won’t he” move to Farcelona so have take the decision to swerve the issue until something concrete occurs.

Wenger has never been a manager who takes shit from his players. But now, he is. Nasri is leaving him red-faced. And Wenger himself is to blame. Had he sorted out Nasri’s and Cesc’s replacements a year back, he could have showed both the door. And, the easiest way he could sorted that out was buying trophy-winning players. Nasri and Cesc would have stayed if they saw the club management’s will to win trophies.

Nasri will go the way of so many who have gone before him( read Hleb,Flamini and Greedybayor). Going to a team that has no concrete football philosophy or vision is the recipe for being a glorified bench-warmer. By the way I totally agree with keeping Fab4 of the site until he is unveiled as a Farcelona player, the speculation is now just nauseating.ied bench-warmer. Arsenal FC

Used to be a football club.
Now has an owner with no respect to the fans.

    A puppet CEO

A dithering has been of a manager who will leave the club at the end of this season in a right mess.

Amazing there are still fans who are in denial.

I’m sick of Wenger, he’s running the club into the ground. He’s fighting to keep players who don’t want to stay, and can’t get rid of some of the injury prone, spineless big heads that need to be shipped out, and not buying players for positions we are in desperate need of. How did we let Given go to AV for a pittance when we need an experience GK? Where is the CB we need? By the end of the window our season could be finished!

Wenger should just sell Nasri since he is intent on going n move on. The man wants to go, let him go to the highest bidder n join the million dollar city bandwagon….he can help suck the Sheik dry & warm the City’s bench. Go Nasri, go, we don’t need such kinds of players however talented they may be.

what is all this? someone should tell nasri that all his predecessors who left have not actually been able to make anything of their career after arsenal and take a look at it Man city is too clogged ask adebayor, wrigth-phillips,boateng etc. it is a deep vortex. pls i love ur style of play it will be a footballing disaster to be swallowed into that vortex.then please SELL fabregas he has to go someday this is the best time to get value for him. love from Nigeria.

on the other hand if Wenger senses that nasri really doesnt want to sign then sell him and use the money for another player. hazard, hamsik, valbuena, goetze, marin, even russians etc.there r players, lots, everywhere who can do the job and will be very glad to do it for less than 20 mill.nasri going to man u or man city doesnt guarantee them the trophy.thanks!

This is an open letter to all Arsenal fans: I believe we need to be very wise in the current silly transfer market because who we bring in needs to be better than what we have and that is not easy because i believe in my players.
I feel this year we will have the positive mental strength to fight for all the competitions.
We are a young team with a big potential.

Should count losses with Cess and Nada, and invest in lethal, efficient front men and midfielder to push Ramsey and Wilshere.

Rather a youngster like Miguel and Bartley making errors than a supposedly experienced defender like Squillaci. Rosicky should make way for some of the youngsters.

Expecting a good season with some brillance from Kochielny and Djourou. No need to mention TV5 or Sagna. Still believe Eboue is an important gunner!

Fingers crossed about Frimpong, JET, Lansbury et al! Would be brilliant to see the likes of them prosper with Arsenal!

does it matter whether it’s the Sun or the Moon or the Star, it’s public knowledge that Nasri wants to go n the fact he’s not signing up till this pt says it all. all the news todate’s saying it so yes, of cos it doesn’t take rocket science to come to such a conclusion

I think Arsene wants to keep Nasri and has a year to show him he should stay. I also believe that fabregas replacement is Ramsey and when he leaves he’ll buy another creative midfielder. Gervinho looks like a Nasri type player from what I’ve seen. It’s tine to get realistic, we won’t buy expensive players with expensive wages, we can’t afford them. Whoever replaced Wenger would have the same problem. It’s not the manager, it’s the club. So if you don’t like it go and support someone who can buy all the big boys and pay them 150k + a week. Don’t let the media cloud your vision. We will survive!

Well said Andy Mack. Too many gulible arsenal fans. Its the same stuff thats been said all summer no direct quotes from the player or wegner, just dribble from a poor excuse of a journo!

Well said Eldo, im sick of the Farca saga, its enough to drive a bloke insane

We probably won’t pay stupid money for any player and I’m happy enough for that tho’ I think Wenger may pull a surprise or two yet.

True, we have to view the hacks’ opinions with sceptisism but Nasri’s reluctance to put pen to paper surely indicates he wants the move.

Gervinho looked hot against Cologne earlier, reminded me of TH14.

No it’s not. It’s newspaper drivel.
He may not be happy but that doesn’t mean he’s desparate to get out.
Unfortunately the more simple minded fans take the newspaper fiction and get worked up over it. What they should do is sit back and wait for something that can be proved as fact. Then respond.
Nasri himself said on twitter ‘don’t believe the newspapers’.

Life is rarely black or white and most of the doomers think. Nasri’s reluctance to sign a new contract indicates that he’s not happy, not that he want to move. If thing don’t change the way he wants them to then he’ll move.
I don’t run off for a new job everytime i’m p155ed off at this one. He’s in the beneficial situation that he can make things change over the next 6-12 months because of his existing contract situation. I just wish I could do the same

I’m under the belief that nasri has signed but its been kept under wraps until the fabregas situation is sorted. If fabregas leaves the signing of a contract will be released, and from a PR and fans perpective we won’t be in such a tough situation. Nasri will not leave, arsene will NOT leave the team with just ramsey and wilshere.
Look at the game yesterday, when jenkinson scored the own goal, who came to support him?! NASRI! from off the bench he went over and gave him a few words. If he was so unhappy and wanted out the door (like the media suggests) he wouldn’t give a stuff about other players.
