Wenger fury as UEFA blunder over Udinese ban

Arsene Wenger is furious with UEFA’s ban for the Champions League showdown with Udinese.

The Gunners boss was sidelined for two matches on yesterday after being found guilty of contacting his staff while serving a ban during the first leg of our 1-0 win against the Italians at the Emirates last week.

AW isn’t happy, reports the Mirror, because the appeal would be held the day after the second leg clash that could define Arsenal’s season. The Gunners confirmed on Monday night: “The club intends to appeal this decision.”

The Mail reports that the farce has overshadowed the build-up to Wednesday’s crunch Champions League qualifier at Udinese because any appeal would delay Wenger’s suspension and allow him to take his place on the touchline for the match against the Italians.

The paper says that despite being banned from communicating with his team, Wenger appeared to be sending messages to the bench via his assistant Boro Primorac – something UEFA insist is forbidden.

Poor Arsenal coutesy of that goat Wenger…….He can as well read what Di Natale thinks about Arsenal and i quote,”Di Natalie said: “We studied Arsenal’s defeat by Liverpool and they have problems in every area.
“They are playing with doubts spread throughout the side.

“Any club in a crisis means you are facing a dangerous team but I believe it will be Udinese who will be going through.”……………………I concur and therfore Europa league here we come.

This side will go through!! A bit of positivity for the lads. Behind the scenes I believe Wenger IS (as he is repeatedly stating) flat out looking to strengthen the squad… see this morn Mata has come out and said he snubbed us! It was down to money not Wenger… we can’t match the chavs, or manchester sides wage offers- end of. Wenger will bring in more players. Any moves are probably resting on our qualification to the CL proper.

    Wow.
Nothing like a bit of positivity mate.

Look, we’re all a bit pi**ed at the way we are at the moment but let’s get behind the team at least even if you dislike Wenger. If they read twitter/facebook then the chances are they read blogs so let’s wait and comment AFTER the game, don’t write them off before they’ve kicked a ball. All you’re doing is playing into the hands of the Arsenal knocking media.

That Di Natalie lad is a genius given there stands to be 4 first teamers – Song, Gervinho, Wilshere and Djourou returning against Udinese. Remember Wilshere was unavailable in the first leg and we found it difficult to score – hopefully this changes on Wednesday night, and Ramsey finding some form and feeling like he doesnt need to carry the midfield like the first leg.

Wenger may even go with Song and Frimpong with Song performing in a more box to box role – Udinese may find that just a little harder to breech.

If you don’t realize the difference that RVP, Wilshire, Gervinho and probably Nasri,s inclusion in the team over the first leg, then you have a problem.  I can assure you that you will be in for a shock when we go through to the group stages.

I wish berks like Edgems would put a bit of thought into their comments….there the kids were against a full Liverpool side, easily holding their own until a bent ref (whats new) sent off Frimpong. This added to the fact that we were without 8 top players and were still not out played is a positive. imagine the reverse with only 5 of the Pool missing and with 10 men ,do you think the Pool would have won…now way! But these idiots who jump on the perverted bandwaggon of our Northern biased press, will regret this disloyalty later.

I don’t have access to write a blog on here so I have decided to pick a page and raid it with my views..

As a level headed fan of Football I am sick to the back teeth of the modern game to the point where I am seriously seriously in danger of walking away forever, I grew up a passionate Spurs fan in the early 70′s where it has to be said we were a poor side and in them days Arsenal were not much better it was a tough period for both clubs, between 72 – 80 there were a few league cup wins and an Fa Cup win for Arsenal and a couple of finals but nothing concrete, and this seems like the perfect time to make a comparison, despite the obvious dominance of Arsenal over the two clubs in North London, I sat there last night watching Aaron lennon on 70k a week performing like an absolute waste of space, his touch, his vision, his all round end product is absolute garbage.
I then look at the likes of Theo Walcott who still some 6 years later is a mystery, is this kid a footballer or not ? he went to a world cup yonks ago as a lad with ability I have not seen anything from him to warrant a place in the one of the finest clubs in world football, Frimpong ? people are going totally over the top about this lad, his timing is awful, his tackling is worse, he is not a footballer in a million years, Corluka is probably the worst right back I have ever seen in top flight football, and Bendtner and Crouch are an absolute disgrace, so just for 5 minutes today I would like to urge you all to sit down and think about why we are spending thousands of pounds to be ripped off by our respective clubs who couldn’t give a shit about you, (they did 30 years ago)…and to think about all the players like , Brady, Rix, Hoddle, Ardiles, Mcdonald, Archibald, and yes even Mabbutt, Adams, perryman and Mclintock, who were club men who loved the side, the fans, and all that went with it..

People like Charlie George and Martin Peters may not mean anything to younger fans on forums like this, but week after week they watch the shit that is served up by our respective clubs by players who couldn’t lace their boots..and I for one have had enough of it !..football is shite !, the players are worse ! and we need our F***king heads testing for contributing to it..

R.I.P North London and Football as we knew it !

      Bigsy, calm down dear!
Seriously, I know what you mean. Once again money has stained a great game (rugby union at amateur status was more enjoyable, there again rule changes also spoiled that.)

Stick with it Bigsy, it will go full circle at some point, possibly another breakaway league or an exodus, normality will prevail. I like your assessment of the past greats and the present err…crop.

Good point on the Rugby, but we kid ourselves that Football is better now, no it is not at all, it is one of a very small number of sports that is offering up less talent despite huge revenue, wrestling has taken the millions and turned it into a technically better show, Darts is absolutely flying, and Cricket is arguably our best sport again as a nation, why are people like Bendtner and Crouch earning 60k a week ?
As kids (and i hate the old days mentality in people i really do)  Spurs reserves played Man United and there were 28,000 there watching, Greenhoff, Macari, Pearson, Mcllroy, Coppell, play Villa, Hazard, Hughton, Falco and that was a reserve fixture, teams were laced with talented players, now we have 1 or 2 that are nowhere near as good as Norman Whiteside was at 16 and they are superstars ! ..utter garbage ..
