Wenger snubbed in loan bid for Kaka to Arsenal

Arsene Wenger has had a loan bid rejected for Real Madrid midfielder Kaka, claims the Mail. It reports theat AW tried to act quickly to appease fans in the wake of Samir Nasri’s move to Manchester City, which followed Cesc Fabregas’s switch to Barcelona.

But his bid for the Brazilian former World Player of the Year on a season-long loan was dismissed. So will AW go back in and sign him on a permanent deal?

Plenty of other transfer news doing the rounds this morning with the prospect of continued Champions League football assured and the assumption that our targets will now commit to coming to the club with that added attraction.

A gutsy 2-1 win over Udinese last night means we have qualified for the group stages of the compettion – check out the draw here later on this afternoon.

It is reported that Arsenal’s hopes of landing Eden Hazard from Lille appear to be over, with the French club insisting the Belgian playmaker wants to stay at the club.

Meanwhile, Arsenal will face competition for the signature of Maura Zarate from Inter Milan should Lazio decide to cash in on the striker claims another sroty, while Aw is said to be monitoring the situation of Raul Albiol at Real Madrid after Valencia made a recent enquiry for the out-of-favour centre-back.

Of last night’s crucial victory, AW said: “I would like to say the club is in overall a very strong position because for 14 years on trot we play in the Champions League. We have a new stadium, and a fantastic training ground, and a very strong financial situation and a very strong team.

“Sometimes you have to take a distance from the catastrophies people have predicted. We have been a little bit under pressure for Arsenal to play in the Champions League group stages. With the players that have left, that pressure would have increased.

“But since the beginning of the season, I sense a strong determined attitude and spirit inside the team. There is a sense of relief, of course – we did not want to go out at this stage – and pride as well. It was a massive game for us.

“Overall it was a fantastic second half and we had chance after chance. We kept calm and composed when we were down 1-0, we kept trying to play the football we wanted to play. In the end it was a comfortable win in a very important game.”

AW added: “Gervinho was always dangerous. I said many times he will be a big player for us sometimes the quality of the player is linked with the transfer amount and it is not always the case.

“The Szczesny save was the turning point at 1-1, it kept us qualified and you could see that mentally it had an impact on their belief and they were not the same team after they missed the penalty.

He added: “The players who played are top class players. There may be signings, but I cannot give you names. I cannot lie and say we’ll sign someone tomorrow because it is not true, but we are trying very hard.”

We don’t want/need kaka in our team. he is slow, over the hill (and he knows it), and would be a massive waste of money on wages.. no thanks

to be realistic attacking wise arsenal are strong and have variety but could do with a strong centre attacking forward because van persie is probably top 5 centre forward finisher  in the world but he is always injured.

gervinho is a great addition to squad cause he holds the ball and drives towards the box and only passes to  a team mate who is in a good attacking position

forwards/cam is needed not just fast pace needed just strength dribbling and finishing like hulk (porto), abonglohor , carew  , bent , kuyt , kaka , forlan etc.

defensive side of things a player to be brave disciplined and strong when arsenal is being counter attacked and in set pieces hut with the abilitie to pass .you need players like centre defensive mids and center backs like cahill, obi mikel , gareth barry , jagielka , malouda , mertesacker
