Wenger wants Udinese’s ‘new Messi’ at Arsenal

Arsene Wenger is this morning reported to be keeping tabs on Udinese’s Romanian winger Gabriel Torje.

A report in the Mirror claims that the 21-year-old – being called the “Romanian Messi” says Wenger has been impressed with his progress at Udinese. Torje moved to the Italian side from Dynamo Bucharest.

The Sun suggests that we would have to pay big money for the player who has been a hit in Italy since his £9million summer move from Dinamo Bucharest.

This next one has to be a bit of a flyer: Reporst suggest Arsenal may consider a “shock move” for Chelsea striker Didier Drogba who has yet to sign an extension to his deal with the Stamford Bridge club.

Another yarn doing the rounds claims we have joined the race to sign Dutch side VVV-Venlo’s promising 18-year-old Nigerian winger Ahmed Musa. Meanwhile, the Mail says Arsenal are amongts a host of clubs looking to snap up Chelsea defender Alex in January. The Brazilian, 29, has not played since he was sent off against Fulham in the Carling Cup.

JIN did you see his lack of pace against Bolton recently ? he knocked it past Cahill and his legs seized, Drogba has lost that vital first 2 yards and is finished, he will get a few tap ins and is a size up front but for his high wages he is certainly not more mobile than Bendtner and would be a poor signing IMO

        Bigsy,

You could be right about his pace, but I would rather have him playing alongside van Persie than any of our other strikers.  His reputation is enough to put the frighteners on defenders and his mobility would increase with more games.

An eighteen month contract from January 1st would do nicely.

He is a good player but not an true arsenal product.what wenger should do is to bench ramsey because he is only good for wales lately and not arsenal.honestly speaking which coach in the premier league will play ramsey ahead of rosicky.the  guy is way better than ramsey and wenger should forget the notion that ramsey is british.i dont see ramsey having a starting slot in any of the top five teams(man u, chelsea, man city, liverpool and excuse me to say spurs). i love wenger but i think is making a big mistake playing ramsey. the guy can not even pass the ball well and he cant even trap a ball well. he sucks, sit him on the bench
