According to a report from Mundo Deportivo, Spanish champions Barcelona are upset over not signing Arsenal’s Gabriel Martinelli.
The Brazilian has started off his Arsenal career in phenomenal fashion scoring seven goals in just five starts. Martinelli was previously on trial at Manchester United and Barcelona but both sides passed on the opportunity to sign him.

Arsenal took the risk earlier this summer and the gamble seems to have paid off. Barcelona are said to be upset over their decision to not sign him when they had the opportunity at the start of this year.
Martinelli has earned a ton of praise from fans and pundits alike in recent months. Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp called him ‘one of the greatest talents of this century’ after his brace at Anfield but there is still more to come from him.

Emery has shown faith in the youngster’s ability like he did with Matteo Guendouzi last season. The Frenchman has now been called up to France’s senior side for the second time in two months. Martinelli could well be the next young sensation to break into Brazil’s national team.
With Bukayo Saka slowing down after an impressive start, Martinelli will get more opportunities in the coming weeks. Aubameyang and Lacazette are perfect players for the Brazilian to learn from and there is no doubt that their influence will make him a better striker.
