The draw against Watford caused a ton of backlash against Unai Emery for his strange substitutions in the second half. The Gunners let a two-goal lead slip against bottom-placed Hornets and the performance was simply not good enough.
Emery’s decision to withdraw Mesut Ozil, Dani Ceballos and Matteo Guendouzi eliminated most of the creativity in our side. Watford found a lot of space in the middle and final third and when analysed properly, we should consider ourselves lucky to come away with a point.

Fans began to question how much Unai Emery has improved our squad since taking charge 15 months ago. Failure to qualify for the Champions League combined with the humiliating loss in the Europa League final ruffled quite a few feathers around the club.
The poor start to the season provoked a number of fans to call for Emery’s head but the surprise name called out to replace him was Jose Mourinho. A prime villain for over the last decade, Mourinho and Arsenal have never had a good relationship.
The rivalry between Arsene Wenger and the Portuguese got heated on a number of occasions which got Mourinho a ton of hate from the Emirates faithful. However, with him available, would you take him in place of Emery? The reactions were mixed.

Half of the people didn’t want the former Chelsea and Manchester United boss anywhere near the club while others claimed that they would take him in a heartbeat. Here’s how a number of Gooners reacted to the suggestion of Mourinho replacing Emery:
