It’s been a while since we have come away from a game with 100% positivity but it finally happened last night. The youngsters ran riot against Forest and Freddie Ljungberg was a proud dad watching from the sidelines.
A brace from Gabriel Martinelli along with goals from Joe Willock, Reiss Nelson and the returning Rob Holding sealed a comfortable victory for the Gunners but that isn’t the only reason for Unai Emery’s happiness.
Kieran Tierney had a fine debut in the red and white while Holding and Bellerin’s return gave a huge boost to the side. The cavalry has well and truly arrived and the positivity around our defence has increased exponentially.

Calum Chambers to start at Old Trafford?
The biggest positive from the game apart from the return of our three star defenders is Calum Chambers’ performance. The Englishman was a forgotten man before the start of the season but he has made a serious claim for a starting spot ahead of the game against Manchester United on Monday.
Chambers has started three games so far this season and has three well deserved clean sheets to his name. After scoring a brilliant goal against Villa on Sunday, he continued his form by racking up three assists last night.

The 24-year-old made five interceptions, four tackles and was only dribbled past once in the entire game. He had 82 touches and maintained a phenomenal passing accuracy of 92% despite moving to left-back after Bellerin’s arrival. (SofaScore)
With Sokratis and Luiz both struggling, Emery might be tempted to start Chambers and Holding at Old Trafford on Monday. Bellerin and Tierney on either side would complete what is arguably our strongest back four which is sure to increase our chances of securing three points.
Three wins on the bounce is sure to have given the squad a massive confidence boost and a win at Old Trafford would bring a very good end to what has been a difficult September for Emery and Arsenal.
