Whether it’s in the Premier League, the Champions League or the international stage, the Arsenal Hale End academy continues to shine on all of the biggest occasions.

This season alone Mikel Arteta has handed out plenty of debuts across the team, with young players relied upon more than ever following injury concerns and fixture congestion.

The Hale End academy has stepped up to the plate too, with plenty of top performances from those who have made their way into the senior team.

Even while Arsenal are going about their business on the pitch, there are those in the youth ranks who are still impressing across the world, including one star who just landed some silverware.

Arsenal academy goalkeeper Alexei Rojas wins bronze medal at South American under-20s Championship

Playing on the international stage, whether that’s in the youth ranks or on the senior stage, comes with plenty of pride.

Players want to put their best foot forward when representing their nation, not least when it comes to the big tournaments.

One played over the early months of 2025 has been the South American under-20s Championship, where some of the big teams have gone head-to-head.

In the Colombia squad was Arsenal academy goalkeeper Alexei Rojas, who made one appearance for the side during the tournament.

He helped keep a clean sheet in a 1-0 victory over Brazil, a win that helped the side reach third in the overall competition standings.

That, in turn, helped secure a bronze medal for Rojas, who will return to Arsenal action with another achievement to his name.

Arsenal academy goalkeeper options

The Arsenal academy ranks are filled with plenty of talented goalkeeper options, who will no doubt have a big future ahead of them.

Whether they go on to feature for the Gunners is another question, with it being one of the tougher positions to break into as a youngster.

However, a few have already been involved in first-team proceedings with Tommy Setford and Jack Porter both making several appearances in squads – while the latter made his debut earlier this season in the Carabao Cup.
