Arsenal have sent out a whole host of players on loan and almost everyone is impressing.
Dinos Mavropanos is bossing the Bundesliga, while William Saliba has been excellent for Nice. Joe Willock and Ainsley Maitland-Niles have had a decent start to life at Newcastle and West Brom respectively, while Zech Medley and Matt Smith have been excellent as well.
One player who has gone under the radar is Daniel Ballard. Blackpool boss Neil Critchley raved about his ‘faultless’ defending and labelled him ‘terrific’ and ‘outstanding’ a few months ago. (Read here)
He has gone from strength to strength since and his hard work earned him a brilliant goal last night against Crewe Alexandra.
The 21-year-old central defender has now played 12 times in all competitions for Blackpool this season. Last night’s header was his first in the Tangerine colours, and Seasiders fans absolutely love him.
Many of them raved about Ballard on social media after his goal last night. One fan called him a future Premiership star while another begged Arsenal to let him stay beyond the end of his loan spell.
