Injury update
Mohamed Elneny is due to be sidelined for the next four weeks after undergoing a scan. It seems the injury is worse than first feared.
Debate
There seems to be some debate amongst fans that one of the reasons Mesut Ozil has dropped in form is down to the injured Santi Cazorla. Ozil’s performances have dropped in recent weeks, but then you could argue so have majority of the team. Maybe we can just blame Cazorla for the slump in general. Damn that injured Spanish wizard.
Transfer news in
This time the Mirror have the club linked with Tiemoue Bakayoko of Monaco. The highly rated midfielder would cost around £40m. Although, with interest from a host of top clubs this one seems unlikely.
Transfer news out
Mesut Ozil is apparently a target for the Chinese Super League according to the Sun. With a few days left until the transfer window slams shut it seems the German with 18 months left on his contract could be targeted soon. Having said that, we are probably all a target for that league. In my opinion, if you can kick a ball relatively straight you have a good chance of getting signed.

2008/9 youth team
I stumbled across an interesting article talking about the 2008 youth team that romped to victory that year. From that successful team, only Francis Coquelin and Jack Wilshere still remain at the club. Having seen the team that year, it brought back flashbacks of players who apparently had massive potential and never appeared again for the club. The team that year was; James Shea, Craig Eastmond, Thomas Cruise, Kyle Bartley, Luke Ayling, Emmanuel Frimpong, Henri Lansbury, Francis Coquelin, Gilles Sunu, Jack Wilshere, Jay Emmanuel-Thomas and Sanchez Watt.
Mental weakness
According to Laurent Koscielny Arsenal have a mental weakness against the top teams. He went on to say that the players need to make more of an effort for the whole game, show more commitment and defend better. The French centre back also feels the squad are still receptive to Arsene Wenger’s message. But he was adamant that he wants Wenger to sign a new contract with the club.
Strip leaked
It’s always fun when a new kit is leaked. You spend months wondering if it’s fake or not to find out that actually that monstrosity will be worn by the players next season. The possible new home kit looks pretty much the same but with a smart collar, the away kit is a strange turquoise colour with not a hint of yellow and blue. As for the third kit or keepers jersey it’s black and pink. Watch this space
