Olympique Marseille reportedly ‘can’t wait’ to send Nuno Tavares back to Arsenal this summer after another round of training ground episodes surrounding the Portuguese defender.
According to L’Equipe, the fullback has continued to be a ‘nuisance’ for the Ligue 1 side, with the report stating that Tavares has annoyed Marseille staff members with his inability to follow instructions and his lack of physical effort in training.
The 23-year-old was on the bench this weekend for Marseille’s 3-1 win against Troyes, with Tavares’ time in the south of France set to end in a disappointing fashion despite an impressive season when you look at the raw numbers.
Tavares has scored six goals in Ligue 1 in a left-wingback position that could give Mikel Arteta some ideas next season. However, given the fullback’s off-the-field issues, there’s a good chance that Arsenal will look to sell the defender for a profit this summer.
Why Pele Is Overrated.
Arsenal must look into selling Tavares after latest Marseille episode

Tavares attitude has also been a problem throughout his career, and with the likes of Arteta and now Igor Tudor failing to ground the former Benfica star, this summer could be the time when the Gunners look to offload the Portuguese fullback.
Signed for peanuts in 2021, Arsenal stand in a good position to make a good profit from selling Tavares, and whilst Marseille will be unlikely to take the defender on a permanent deal, interest will be there across Europe in the 23-year-old’s services.
Indeed, Tavares is still a young player and still has time to turn his behaviour around wherever he ends up this summer, but having failed to do so at Arsenal and now at Marseille, the left-back’s next move this summer could be make-or-break for the talented defender’s career.
