Declan Rice has reportedly been given permission to undergo a medical at Arsenal, with a transfer to north London now believed to be 100% completed.
According to David Ornstein of the Athletic, the England international will soon finalise his move to the Gunners with a medical now pencilled in, with Arsenal set to sign Rice for a club record fee of £105m, a Premier League record for a British player previously held by Jack Grealish.
The 24-year-old will become Arsenal’s second signing of the summer after last week’s arrival of Kai Havertz, yet there’s no doubt that the move for Rice is arguably the biggest transfer Mikel Arteta has pulled off since becoming manager of the club.

Why Pele Is Overrated.
With Jurrien Timber expected to join from Ajax later this week as well, Arsenal have been decisive in their summer spending, signing three key targets before the start of pre-season and also potentially lining up a fourth addition later in the window if sales can be made.
Indeed, Rice’s arrival could herald a new era at Arsenal. And with the transfer now 100% completed, it’s now a waiting game for supporters as to when the announcement will be made and what moves happen next for the north London side.

Arsenal have pulled off a blinder in signing Rice

Rice is, without doubt, one of the best midfielders in the Premier League and a talent that could take Arsenal’s engine room to a whole new level, with the West Ham skipper adding an incredible amount of quality alongside Martin Odegaard and now potentially Havertz.
Moreover, with more signings expected, Arsenal’s squad is taking up title-winning potential with Arteta landing all of his key targets, yet RIce is easily the top player the Basque coach wanted in this summer, a transfer that is now close to being announced.
