Vela set for Fulham loan..Hangeland in?

Carlos Vela could be set for a loan move to Fulham. As the transfer deadline looms, arsenalinsider.com has been told the Mexico striker will switch to Craven Cottage and that has sparked a rumour that Brede Hangeland could yet make a move to the Gunners as part of the deal.
Vela going to a club where he will probably play every week makes a lot of sense but he is currently recovering from an ankle injury he picked up during international duty.
Vela’s absence in Arsenal’s first team led to speculation last month that the club may have been looking to move him out on loan on a season-long loan to Fulham as part of a deal for defender Hangeland. Fulham boss Roy Hodgson denied Arsenal had spoken to him about the Norwegian but the tale refuses to go away.
With about three hours until the deadline, the business is being left late but, of course, that is the nature of the transfer window. It would seem unlikely that Arsene Wenger has any other faces on their way to the Emirates but we will monitor the situation and bring you updates as the day unfolds.
Two weeks ago Vela’s agent Eduardo Hernandez said the 20-year-old was recovering from an injury to his right ankle picked up during the CONCACAF Gold Cup tournament and that Arsenal were resting him as a precaution.
Last season was Vela’s first with Arsenal. He made 14 Premier League appearances, but only twice as a starter and he scored one goal. He made eight Champions League appearances, six as a substitute and also scored a hat trick in the League Cup.
