Kevin Campbell has claimed he loves the fact that Gabriel Jesus is coming to Arsenal instead of joining fellow London sides Chelsea or Tottenham Hotspur.

Jesus was linked with plenty of clubs across Europe. From Juventus and Real Madrid to the likes of Chelsea and Spurs, many sides reportedly wanted him, but Arsenal look like they’ve won the race to sign him.

Fabrizio Romano revealed that the Brazilian has completed his Gunners medical and an official announcement confirming the completion of the £45 million signing is imminent.

Campbell, who came through the ranks at Arsenal, played 193 times and scored 52 goals, absolutely loves the club, and he enjoys having a subtle go at a few of our rivals from time to time as well.

Speaking about Jesus’ imminent move to Arsenal, he said on the Highbury Squad YouTube channel: “You know what I really love about the Jesus (transfer)? I like the fact that Spurs fans and Chelsea fans are upset.

“He never went to them. He has come to us.

“That always goes down well. So, I love that part.”

Raphinha could do the same

Arsenal fans absolutely love the fact that Jesus has picked us over our London rivals. What would make that even better is if another talented player does the same this summer.

That player could be Leeds United star Raphinha, who is reportedly wanted by Arsenal, Chelsea, Tottenham, Newcastle and Barcelona this summer.

Despite interest from plenty of other clubs, Arsenal are the ones who’ve made an official approach. Reports revealed that we had a bid rejected for the Brazilian last week, but we’re still apparently confident of getting a deal done this summer.

If Arsenal can get both Raphinha and Jesus ahead of Champions League sides Chelsea and Tottenham, it will once again emphasise that London is Red!
