Sky Sports have released their player ratings for last night’s Euro 2020 final and Arsenal fans absolutely love what they’ve done for Bukayo Saka.

The teenager was left on the bench at the start yesterday, much to the anger of Arsenal supporters. Gareth Southgate brought him on in the second half and Saka had a few really good moments against the Italians.

He moved from the right-wing to the number 10 role after Jack Grealish came on in extra time, and he remained a threat there as well. It was all going to plan for young Saka, but the teenager slipped at the final hurdle.

Saka was forced to take the fifth penalty for England in the shootout. The fate of the game rested on his young shoulders with over 60,000 fans watching on, and that pressure proved to be a bit too much.

The Arsenal youngster’s penalty wasn’t quite in the corner and Gianluigi Donnarumma saved the strike to give Italy the win.

Saka, predictably, was distraught. He couldn’t hold back his tears and his England teammates jumped in to console him. He has received a ton of support from all corners of the world, and he deserves every bit of praise he’s getting.

Bukayo Saka gets a 10/10 rating from Sky Sports

In their player ratings, Sky Sports gave Saka a perfect 10. Even though the teenager missed his penalty, the courage and character he showed to step up and take it ahead of other experienced players earned him a ton of praise.

Sky wrote: “There is a line to be given here about how England improved after his introduction and switch of formation.

“But the only rating worth giving is acknowledgement that, in the most pressurised sporting moment imaginable, a 19-year-old lad who had barely played for his country before this year and who has never taken a penalty for his club, stepped forward to take a potentially decisive kick when so many of his experienced team-mates stood back.

“England really should not have put the teenager anywhere near this situation. “
