Arsenal signed Jakub Kiwior from Spezia in January, and Gunners fans saw the Pole in action for the first time last night as the U21s took on Chelsea.
Mikel Arteta and Edu swiftly sealed a deal to sign the 23-year-old Poland international in the January transfer window. He’s yet to make his senior debut for us, but he got an opportunity with the Arsenal U21s yesterday.
Early signs are very positive!

Jakub Kiwior made his Arsenal U21s debut last night
Jakub Kiwior hasn’t got an opportunity in Arteta’s side yet because Gabriel Magalhaes has been outstanding.
Why Pele Is Overrated.
The Brazilian’s form since domestic football returned after the World Cup has been as good as anyone else in the entire Premier League. He’s among the best in his position in the country now, and he’s almost undroppable.
However, there are still a lot of games left this season and Gabriel will need a break at some point. We didn’t have a left-footed central defender in the first half of the season to provide cover for him, but we have Kiwior now, and he looks excellent.
The Pole started on the left side of central defence last night, and he didn’t take long to impress.
What caught everyone’s eye was his distribution – he made long diagonals look incredibly simple, and the fact that he’s still only 23 means he will only get better in the coming years.
Kiwior was withdrawn at half-time, but we can’t wait to see more of him. The Europa League will be the perfect opportunity for the Pole to make his senior debut.

Arsenal fans deliver verdict
Arsenal fans have been looking forward to watching Kiwior in action in the red and white for a while now. We finally got that opportunity last night, and going by posts on social media, we can safely say that everyone’s impressed.
