It is no secret that Arsenal are on the market to bring in a creative attacker in the January transfer window. The Gunners have completed just 65 key passes in the Premier League this season – only Leicester City and Burnley have created fewer. (WhoScored)

That is a massive concern for Mikel Arteta. Lack of creativity means lack of goals and the Gunners’ record shows exactly that. We have scored just 10 times in as many league games this season, and that has cost us on more than one occasion.

Arsenal desperately need a creative midfielder in next month’s transfer window and RB Salzburg’s Dominik Szoboszlai is reportedly one of our priority targets.

The Hungarian has scored eight goals and has provided nine assists this season already. He is on the radar of a number of clubs in Europe, and his £23 million release clause (Mirror) makes him an extremely affordable option for interested parties.

Arsenal fans have been urging Arteta and Edu to make a move for Szoboszlai next month. The Hungarian is viewed by many supporters as the answer to our creativity problems, and his activity on social media has fueled all the rumours over a potential move to the Emirates.

Szoboszlai liked a picture on Instagram about Arsenal’s 4-1 victory over Rapid Wien in the Europa League last night. Gunners fans were quick to notice that and the post went viral on all social media platforms.

Is that a hint?

Arsenal fans, predictably, went wild on Twitter. Some supporters are certain now that Szoboszlai wants a move to the Emirates next month.

The Hungarian is hugely versatile. He plays on the left flank for Salzburg but he is more than capable of playing on the other wing or through the middle – as a number 10 or as a false nine.

Arsenal should not miss this opportunity. There aren’t many players of his age, quality and potential available in Europe for a fee as little as £23 million. Edu has pulled off a few impressive deals for us already. However, if he can get this over the line, it might just be his best move as our technical director.

Here’s how a few Arsenal fans reacted to Szoboszlai’s Instagram activity
