La Colina de Nervion revealed yesterday that Arsenal are interested in signing Sevilla striker Youssef En-Nesyri.
The Moroccan was heavily linked with a move to the Premier League in the recently concluded summer window. West Ham tried extremely hard to sign him, but En-Nesyri turned down a lucrative salary offer from the Irons to stay in Seville.
The 24-year-old, after a stunning campaign last season, has started this season in style as well. He has two goals and an assist in three games and if he can keep this up, he will end up scoring over 20 goals again this term.

Unai Emery wanted En-Nesyri at Arsenal in 2019
Back in the summer of 2019, Moroccan outlet Assahifa, as per HITC, revealed that Arsenal are interested in En-Nesyri, who was still at Leganes then. He had just finished a very impressive debut season in Spain, and that reportedly caught Emery’s attention.
The ex-Arsenal boss was desperate to sign a new attacker in 2019. We all know Wilfried Zaha was his priority target, but En-Nesyri was on his wish list too, but he ended up with Nicolas Pepe, who the Gunners signed for a club-record fee.

Gooners are divided. Some believe that he would be a very good signing for us, while others feel he’s not what we need.
