The Evening Standard revealed earlier today that Arsenal have joined Manchester United and Tottenham in the race to sign Lille right-back Zeki Celik this summer.

The Gunners are on the market looking to strengthen multiple areas of the pitch and a new right-back is one of Mikel Arteta’s priorities.

Hector Bellerin’s time at the Emirates looks like it’s coming to an end. The Spaniard started last campaign as Arteta’s first-choice at right full-back, but he dropped below Calum Chambers and even Cedric Soares by the end of the season.

It’s the best time for all parties now to part ways and it is looking like it’ll happen soon. Coliseo Verdiblanco revealed that Real Betis are really keen to sign him, and there’s a good chance that the deal will go through in the coming weeks.

Zeki Celik to replace Bellerin at Arsenal?

Bellerin’s departure increases the need for a new right-back at Arsenal and Lille star Celik is a very good option.

The Turk has been a regular for Les Dogues over the last three seasons and he has made a name as one of the best right-backs in Ligue 1. He has just won the league in France and is now ready for a new adventure elsewhere.

The report claims that Celik will be available for just £13 million this summer. That is an absolute bargain for a 24-year-old who is on the top of his game at the moment, and Arsenal fans are delighted with Edu’s reported interest in him.

Arsenal have an excellent relationship with Lille as well thanks to our business with them over the last two years – Nicolas Pepe and Gabriel Magalhaes. It’s not beyond Edu to make it three players in as many years, and Celik would be a brilliant addition.
