2024 is going to be a big year for many Arsenal players, but there are a few who could end up getting replaced.

The Gunners are dreaming of winning the Premier League this season and in the years to come. To achieve such success, Mikel Arteta has to be ruthless, which means some players will have to be replaced to make way for better ones.

Oleksandr Zinchenko

Oleksandr Zicnhenko was one of Arsenal’s best players last season, but the Ukraine international hasn’t quite been on the same level this time around.

The £32 million defender is one of our most important players because of his ‘unbelievable‘ quality when he has the ball at his feet. However, his defending hasn’t been great at all, and that has cost us on a few occasions.

Arsenal will have Jurrien Timber back fit in the coming months, and he can do what Zinchenko does while being far more solid at that back. If the Ukrainian doesn’t improve, he will be replaced by Timber this year.

Emile Smith Rowe

Emile Smith Rowe has had a torrid last 18 months at Arsenal, hasn’t he?

Injuries have really affected his progress, and after being out for such a long time, he just can’t seem to get back into the side – even though he is fit now.

As sad as it is, we think Smith Rowe’s Arsenal career is hanging by a thread. He needs to find a way to force himself back into the side and show everyone what a wonderful player he is. If he doesn’t, we think he will be sold and replaced in 2024.

Gabriel Jesus

When Arsenal signed Gabriel Jesus from Manchester City 18 months ago, many felt we had found our striker for years to come. However, he has had a disappointing season so far.

The Brazilian’s work ethic and how much he offers in attack cannot be underappreciated, but strikers are judged by the number of goals they score, and Jesus just doesn’t score enough.

Arsenal are unlikely to go big on a new striker in this month’s transfer window, which means Jesus will have six more months to stake his claim. If he doesn’t start scoring goals to get us over the line in games, he will lose his place in the summer.
