Sky Sports released their power rankings today and four Arsenal stars make the top 15.

Bukayo Saka was ranked 14th after his brilliant performance at the weekend. Kieran Tierney pipped him to 12th thanks to his goal and an assist against West Brom, while Bernd Leno jumped up to seventh in the list.

The top spot, however, was claimed by Alexandre Lacazette. The Frenchman has been immense for us over the last three games, scoring four times to help us get back to winning ways.

Lacazette certainly deserves more credit than he has received over the last year. The former Lyon man has had his ups and downs but he brings a lot more to the game than just goals, and that deserves immense praise.

The Frenchman’s brace at the weekend takes him to nine goals for the season – more than any other Arsenal player. Mikel Arteta and Gunners supporters will be hoping he continues his form. If he does, we will end up in a respectable position at the end of the season.

Premier League stars from other clubs fall well short of Lacazette.

Manchester United stars Bruno Fernades and Marcus Rashford take fourth and eighth places respectively, while Harry Kane and Son Heung-min rank 28th and 40th, which really is a shock considering the constant hype surrounding them and their club.

Has Lacazette earned himself a new deal?

Laca has just 18 months left on his current contract. Arteta recently claimed that Arsenal will not discuss anything until the summer, which might put us in the same difficult position that we were in with Alexis Sanchez, Mesut Ozil and most recently, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

If he continues his incredible form until the end of the season, fans will put pressure on Arsenal to give him a new contract. However, he will turn 30 in May, and that will have a huge impact on the club’s decision to hand him a big-money deal.
