Arsenal have sent a number of young players out on loan this summer and all the coaches in our academy are extremely optimistic about every single one of those loanees.

Mikel Arteta has shown since his appointment that he isn’t afraid to give opportunities to young players. Bukayo Saka and Emile Smith Rowe are the prime examples of that, and it’s only a matter of time before another batch of exciting youngsters breakthrough into the first team.

My Revenge On Ben Foster

We have a number of quality teenagers still at Arsenal, but those who have gone out on loan have a better chance of impressing Arteta. We take a look at five loanees who could come back next summer and give the Arsenal boss something to think about.

Five young Arsenal players out on loan you should keep an eye on

Miguel Azeez:

Arguably the most exciting Arsenal youngster at the moment, Azeez joined Portsmouth on loan earlier this week. The teenager has been incredible for our youth teams over the years, and he impressed with the first team in pre-season as well.

Azeez will work under Danny Cowley at Fratton Park – the same manager who helped Smith Rowe develop at Huddersfield early last year. If he can work the same kind of magic with the 18-year-old this season, the midfielder will return to Arsenal a fine player next summer.

Nikolaj Moller:

Dubbed as the next Zlatan Ibrahimovic, all eyes were on Moller when he joined Arsenal last year. He scored seven goals and provided three assists for the under-23’s last season, and that earned him a loan move to Germany.

Moller joined Viktoria Koln on a season-long loan deal this summer. He has only played three times in the league having missed two due to illness. Although the 18-year-old is yet to score, we feel he has the quality to impress everyone in the coming months.

Tyreece John-Jules:

TJJ is a player we’ve been talking about for a few years now, but the youngster has been extremely unlucky with injuries. However, if he can stay fit throughout this campaign, he has the chance to make a real name for himself in the Championship.

John-Jules joined Blackpool on loan and has already played five times in the league for them, three of them coming from the start. He has picked up a couple of assists so far, and if he can keep going, we’re sure he’ll bag plenty more goal contributions this term.

Matt Smith:

After a couple of hugely impressive loan spells at Swindon and Charlton last season, Smith earned himself a loan move to Doncaster Rovers. The 20-year-old hasn’t quite made the same noises as Azeez, but fans of the lower league will tell you all about his quality.

Smith can play anywhere across central midfield. He’s excellent on the ball, is always open to receiving possession and for someone who’s still only 20, he’s really composed as well. He has a bright future ahead of him and hopefully, he can show everyone what he’s all about this term.

Daniel Ballard:

After helping Blackpool achieve promotion to the Championship last season, Ballard joined Milwall this summer. He has improved massively over the last 12 months and his performances so far this term have been really impressive as well.

The 21-year-old has become an integral part of Northern Ireland now. He bagged his first-ever international goal last night and if he can keep this up, Arteta will surely take a closer look at him when he returns to pre-season next year.
