One of Premier League’s greatest ever rivalries is set to commence again as Arsenal travel to Manchester United on Monday. The fierceness has come down over the last decade but the excitement ahead of the game is still the same.
Unai Emery arguably has the better side and the confidence within the group is definitely higher compared to them. However, Old Trafford has always been a difficult place to go and the game will not be easy.
Alexandre Lacazette will be our only absentee with everyone else available for selection. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is in incredible form while Nicolas Pepe’s confidence will be sky high after breaking his duck last weekend.
The returns of Rob Holding, Hector Bellerin and Kieran Tierney will be massive irrespective of whether they start. Three points for us would create a six-point gap between the two sides and anything but a win will be a huge disappointment.
Solskjaer’s side were convincingly beaten by West Ham last weekend and only managed a win on penalties against Rochdale midweek. Paul Pogba, Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford are all expected to miss the game which should make us firm favourites.
Arsenal will need to take the game by the scruff its neck early on and we should be ruthless in possession. Our attack has the potential run riot against a poor United side and Emery needs to go for the kill from the get go in the late game on Monday.
