The return of the Premier League also means the return of Fantasy Premier League, and there may be some panic as teams are finalised ahead of today’s deadline.
Arsenal’s expanding squad means there are more Gunners to pick from, but with a maximum of three in your side, it will be harder than ever to narrow down the options.
Mikel Arteta’s side came second last season, and will be aiming to challenge for the title again. Declan Rice, Jurrien Timber and Kai Havertz have arrived, with David Raya set to follow.
Arsenal kick off their season against Nottingham Forest on Saturday, before a trip to Crystal Palace followed by a London derby against Fulham to round off August.
Why Pele Is Overrated.
We’ve picked out the best three options from Arsenal to include in your FPL team, based upon in-game value, as well as on-pitch quality. There are now a lot of excellent options to pick from, but it will be more unpredictable than ever to judge which Arsenal stars to include.
Gabriel Magalhaes
The centre-back became one of Arsenal’s most reliable performers after a shaky start last season, and he is a must-have for any FPL team.
MORE ARSENAL STORIES
At 5.0m, he will come at a bargain price, and given that he appeared in every single Premier League game last season, there is little risk of him being randomly benched.
With 11 Arsenal goals to his name, he could be useful for clean sheets, bonus points and goals, and his ability in the air makes him one of his side’s biggest threats from set-pieces.
No brainer.
Martin Odegaard
Odegaard is one of just two attacking players to have their starting spots almost guaranteed, having missed just one league game last season.
With 15 league goals, and remarkably none from penalties, he is one of the best midfield goal threats in the entire league. He also takes corners and free-kicks, giving a boost to the possible goal and assist outputs the Arsenal captain can provide.
At 8.5m he doesn’t come cheaply, but his output and consistency throughout the season will make him a worthwhile investment.

Bukayo Saka
Arguably the first name on the team sheet, we’ve selected Saka ahead of Gabriel Martinelli for FPL selection as he is less likely to be benched.
Martinelli has the likes of Leandro Trossard and Emile Smith Rowe potentially rotating with him, meaning that the occasional benching could prove frustrating when selecting your team.
Saka played in every Premier League game last season, is Arsenal’s main penalty taker, and with 14 goals and 11 assists in the league last season, he was one of the best-attacking players in the entire division.
Like Odegaard, Saka costs 8.5m, but this creates the possibility of picking both players in the hope that they can both produce output from midfield in the same game.
