The January transfer window is coming to an end and Arsenal aren’t expected to sign anyone today.

Mikel Arteta brought in Mathew Ryan and Martin Odegaard on loan until the end of the season, and it looks like that will be all until the summer transfer window.

However, there are a few who could leave the club today – either on loan or permanently. We take a look at three players who could find a new home before the window shuts tonight.

Ainsley Maitland-Niles

The versatile Englishman has barely played in the Premier League this season. Most of his game time has come in the Europa League, and now that the knockout stages are set to begin, Mikel Arteta is likely to prefer the regulars.

Maitland-Niles wants to play to make his case for England’s Euros squad. Southampton, West Bromwich Albion and Leicester City are all reportedly interested (The Athletic), and it is likely he will join one of them on loan by the end of the day.

Shkodran Mustafi

The German is reportedly in talks to terminate his contract at Arsenal. He wants to follow his pals Mesut Ozil and Sokratis Papastathopoulos out of the Emirates, and Premier League champions Liverpool are being tipped as his possible destination. (The Telegraph)

As unlikely as that is, Mustafi is likely to leave Arsenal today. Mikel Arteta confirmed before the Manchester United game that talks are ongoing with his agent to find a solution (Read here), and it wouldn’t be a surprise to see Edu rip up his contract and let him walk way.

Joe Willock

Like Maitland-Niles, Willock is another player who is unlikely to get any game time until the end of the season. Martin Odegaard’s arrival has pushed the Englishman down the pecking order, and a loan move away is looking likely.

The Daily Mail claim that Newcastle United are interested in signing Willock on loan until the end of the season. The midfielder should consider moving up north to get some minutes under his belt – just like first-team star Emile Smith Rowe did last term.
