According to a report from The Athletic, Leeds United have rejected a bid from Arsenal for their Brazilian winger Raphinha this week.

The Gunners are looking for a new right-winger this summer to compete with Bukayo Saka. Nicolas Pepe currently plays that role, but the Ivorian is set to depart after three underwhelming years at the Emirates.

Arsenal are expected to go back in with a bigger bid for Raphinha, but if we can’t get him in, we’ll have to look at alternatives, Here are three options we think Edu and Mikel Arteta should consider.

SAKA, ANTONY AND 10 PREMIER LEAGUE STARS HEADING TO THEIR FIRST WORLD CUP

Three Raphinha alternatives Arsenal can sign as Leeds reject Edu’s bid

Richarlison

Arsenal have been linked with a move to sign Everton star Richarlison, but he isn’t exactly a like-for-like alternative to Raphinha.

However, the Toffees star can play across the front three and has already proven that he can step up against the big teams in the Premier League.

Richarlison would be a terrific signing for Arsenal, but he, like his good pal Raphinha, is not short of suitors. Tottenham and Chelsea are also reportedly keen to sign him.

Antony

The 22-year-old Ajax star has been heavily linked with a £51 million move to Manchester United this summer.

A left-footed right-winger like Raphinha, Antony has been superb in the Netherlands, scoring 12 goals and providing 10 assists in all competitions last season.

He would be a fine signing as an understudy to Saka, but with his old boss Erik Ten Hag keen to bring him to Old Trafford, a deal will not be easy.

Moussa Diaby

The young Frenchman is one of the most talented players in the Bundesliga.

Diaby can play on either wing, is rapid and he has proven in Germany that he’s capable of scoring and creating goals on a consistent basis.

The 22-year-old scored 17 goals and provided 14 assists in all competitions last season, and although he would be expensive, he’d certainly be a fine signing for us if we can’t get a deal for Raphinha over the line.
