Fulham boss Scott Parker has responded to rumours linking Tosin Adarabioyo with a move to Arsenal this summer.

The Athletic revealed this week that the Gunners are interested in signing the defender who many feel will be available for a bargain due to Fulham’s relegation from the Premier League.

My Revenge On Ben Foster

The 6ft 5in giant has had a solid campaign at the back for the Lilywhites. He has played 31 games in all competitions so far, and it won’t be surprise to see him move to a top-flight club before the start of next season.

However, Parker has rubbished those rumours today. He has claimed that Adarabioyo has a contract at Fulham and the club have no plans to sell him in the upcoming summer transfer window.

Scott Parker: I can’t see Tosin Adarabioyo joining Arsenal

He said, as per The Express: “He (Adarabioyo) doesn’t need to go. Every relegated team sees other teams coming for your better players. But he’s under contract – I can’t see him going anywhere.”

The Lilywhites will be hoping for a swift return back into the Premier League and Adarabioyo will be key. However, will they really refuse a big offer should it come from Arsenal this summer?

The Gunners are looking to replace David Luiz, who is expected to leave at the end of this season. Mikel Arteta has plenty of options at the back already, but reports have claimed that he wants another centre-half.

The Arsenal boss knows Adarabioyo very well thanks to their time together at Manchester City. That could well be the reason behind Arteta’s desire to sign him this summer, but Fulham will make things difficult.

However, if Arsenal come in with a bid for Adarabioyo, he will likely fancy a move as well. That will force Fulham to consider a bid, which should act in our favour if Arteta really is interested in signing him this summer.
