Arsenal secured a dramatic 2-1 win over Wolves in the Premier League, but they were not great at all.
It was a clash between the first and 20th-placed teams at the Emirates, and everyone expected the Gunners to batter Rob Edwards’ side.
However, Wolves put up a strong fight, and it took two own goals in the end for Mikel Arteta’s men to come out as the winners.
As good as the three points are, Arteta must be really worried about what happened in the first half.

Arsenal failed to have a shot on target vs Wolves in the first half
Arsenal were nowhere near the level required against Wolves on Saturday.
In the first half, the Gunners were passive, predictable, and apart from Bukayo Saka, nobody else was a threat to the visitors.
The Arsenal number seven created a couple of chances for his teammates, but nobody came close to finding the back of the net.
One worrying stat from that half was that Arsenal failed to have a single shot on target. That’s the first time it has happened this season.
When you go deeper into that statistic, the clash against Wolves on Saturday was the first time they didn’t register a shot on target at the Emirates since the game against Manchester United in December 2024 – 374 days ago. (Sky Sports)
The positive is that the Gunners came out with the win and have extended their gap to five points at the top of the Premier League table.
However, the fact that they didn’t have a shot on target against the worst side in the division is really concerning.

Arsenal have a major problem in attack
Arteta picked Viktor Gyokeres to lead the line, and the Swede was once again really poor.
The former Sporting man will argue that he didn’t get the service he would’ve liked for large parts of the game, but his movement inside the box and anticipation of the ball were just not at the level required.
Furthermore, Gyokeres seemed to be struggling physically, which is a very worrying sign as Arsenal need their striker to be firing.
What is Viktor Gyokeres’ biggest weakness right now? 😬
What must Mikel Arteta work on with the Swede in training?
With Gabriel Jesus back now and Kai Havertz set to return soon as well, Gyokeres is at serious risk of losing his place in the side.
Looking at his recent performances, he can’t really complain if he gets dropped.
