Christian Norgaard got a rare start for Arsenal against Kairat Almaty in the Champions League.
The Dane joined the Gunners from Brentford in the summer, and he was brought in to replace Jorginho in Mikel Arteta’s side.
It was always clear that Norgaard wasn’t going to play much football, but Arsenal fans are amazed by what he is capable of on the pitch.
After watching his performance in Martin Zubimendi’s position on Wednesday night, Gooners are all saying the same thing about the former Bees’ captain.
Does Christian Norgaard deserve more minutes at Arsenal?
Arsenal fans demand more minutes for Christian Norgaard
Since joining Arsenal in the summer, Christian Norgaard has played just 678 minutes of football in all competitions.
He has only made three appearances in the Premier League, and none of them have come from the start.
Arsenal fans feel the Dane deserves a lot more and have sent a clear message to Arteta.
One supporter tweeted: “Norgaard, by the way, fantastic performance! He deserves to play more in the Premier League. Fine player.”
Another wrote: “Norgaard has to play more games for us, he’s so good I don’t understand why this manager doesn’t use him in league games.”
“Norgaard needs to play more. Look at his pass to Kai Havertz for the second goal, his pass to Gabriel Jesus for his miss, and his pass to Jesus’ disallowed goal. Three INCREDIBLE chances created in one match, and he never gets the opportunity to play. Doing more than our creative midfielders,” said another.
Another Arsenal fan commented: “Need Norgaard to play more minutes in the Premier League, especially in tight games, as he seems to be more suited for those games that require a bit of calm and experience.”
“Norgaard, what a performance! I need to see him play more, please,” tweeted another.

Arsenal star Christian Norgaard’s stats vs Kairat are so impressive
Norgaard had a fine game for Arsenal in the middle of the park.
It’s never easy replacing a player as good as Zubimendi, but the former Brentford man slotted in brilliantly and didn’t put a foot wrong.
In his 89 minutes on the pitch, Norgaard had 90 touches of the ball and completed 69 of his 76 attempted passes, thus maintaining an impressive 91 per cent passing accuracy. He also created one big chance, which is not bad for a defensive midfielder.
If you had one advice for Mikel Arteta regarding Christian Norgaard. what would it be?
Defensively, Norgaard made six ball recoveries and won eight of his 10 attempted duels. He was also fouled four times and wasn’t dribbled past once in the entire game. (Sofascore)
It was a solid performance from Norgaard, and we agree with Arsenal fans – he deserves more minutes.
