There was pandemonium inside the Emirates as Arsenal beat Tottenham 4-1 in the first North London Derby of the season.
Every player did their part to ensure the three points remained in N5, but it was Eberechi Eze’s time to shine.
Eze was disappointed that he didn’t score more than three goals, which paints the picture of just how impressive his performance was.
The playmaker scoring the hat-trick meant more than anything else, as Eze snubbed Tottenham in the summer, and the Gunners were sure to taunt their rivals.
Declan Rice and Bukayo Saka poked Spurs on social media after the game, and in-game footage has revealed that the Arsenal midfielder sent a swipe during a goal celebration.

Declan Rice’s message to the Arsenal squad during Eberechi Eze’s goal celebration
Rice is a valued leader in the Arsenal squad and showed his commitment to the club with his North London Derby performance.
Arsenal fans loved the 26-year-old’s afternoon from start to finish, as aside from proving consistent quality in midfield, he relished the occasion.
Sky Sports’ footage of the game delved into Arsenal’s celebrations after Eze scored his second of the afternoon, the Gunners’ third of the contest.
The audio picked up Rice sending a clear demand to his teammates amid the celebration, as the England international was heard saying, “Let’s kill them, let’s f—— kill them.”
In that moment, Rice made it clear that he wasn’t satisfied with beating Spurs 3-0; he wanted more, and more is what his team delivered.
Is Declan Rice Arsenal’s most important player?
Arsenal fans are saying that Rice should be captain
There’s been a lot of talk about Arsenal’s £105m man this season, with a lot of discourse being around his leadership qualities.
Tony Adams thinks Rice should be Arsenal’s captain, and after what was heard during the North London Derby, fans think the same.
“Nah get him the armband. That’s enough for me,” one supporter said on X, reacting to Rice wanting to ‘kill’ Spurs.
It was a take echoed by many other Arsenal fans on X.
“My Captain!!!”
“Needs that arm band.”
“Make HIM CAPTAIN HE KNOWSSSS.”
“Give him the armband already..”
Mikel Arteta has full faith in Martin Odegaard as Arsenal’s captain, but it’s becoming clear who fans truly want to see sport the armband.
