Gabriel Martinelli also left supporters frustrated, with Bukayo Saka having to do a lot of work to make the Gunners look like a threat.

During the match, the Gunners’ fans took to social media to slam the striker and demand more from him in the second half.
One fan said: “Can’t believe we’re in March and Arteta still thinks it’s a smart idea to start Martinelli and Gyokeres together.”
“Mikel still thinks Gyokeres/Martinelli will work eventually; someone needs to intervene,” added another fan.
There was yet more criticism for the striker: “You know what makes Gyokeres so bad? It’s his touch is as poor as his lack of movement. Which does not exist.”
