Germany have qualified for the knockout stages of the World Cup after a dramatic win over the Ivory Coast.
Arsenal star Kai Havertz’s side were a goal down after 30 minutes. Bad memories from previous international competitions emerged as the score didn’t change even after the hour mark.
Then, super-sub Deniz Undav came on, scored one in the 68th minute and another one in the 94th to seal a good win for Germany.
Although Undav was the match-winner, Arsenal fans were all blown away by another incredible talent – Felix Nmecha.

Arsenal fans tell Andrea Berta and Mikel Arteta to sign Felix Nmecha
Nmecha has started each of Germany’s first two games at the World Cup and he has been incredible on both occasions.
On Saturday night, after Arsenal fans watched him in the middle of the park, many of them took to social media and urged Andrea Berta to sign him this summer.
One supporter wrote on X: “I need Felix Nmecha in Arsenal. Andrea Berta, make it happen.”
Another tweeted: “Hot take, I want Felix Nmecha at Arsenal as the main target for the midfield. Frenkie De Jong type profile. 6’3. Good in the air. Consistent. Can play the six, eight and 10 roles. 25 years old. Great link-up with Kai. BRING!”
“Seriously, if we really are after another CM, we need to contact Borussia Dortmund. Felix Nmecha is outstanding. I think Declan Rice, Martin Zubimendi, with Nmecha and Myles Lewis-Skelly, pushes us to the next level as far as central midfield goes,” said another.
Another Gooner tweeted: “Don Berta, please do the needful. Felix Nmecha is a machine!”
“Felix Nmecha to Arsenal – Mikel Arteta, please,” wrote another.

Felix Nmecha’s stats for Germany vs Ivory Coast are outstanding
Nmecha ran the show for Germany in midfield.
The 25-year-old had 92 touches of the ball, carried it forward 17 times for a total distance of nearly 180 metres. He also attempted 65 passes and completed 59 of them, maintaining a 91 per cent passing accuracy.
Nmecha also created two big chances and picked up an assist that helped Germany win the game in stoppage time. (Sofascore)
Borussia Dortmund have secured the midfielder’s future until the summer of 2030, so they are in a strong position in potential transfer negotiations.
However, everyone has a price, and if Arsenal make a big enough offer, we’re sure they can land him. Whether they will, though, is a different story.
