Bukayo Saka is the face of Arsenal Football Club.

The Englishman has carried the Gunners on his back for several years now, and his efforts have helped bring an end to a 22-year-long Premier League trophy drought.

Saka’s focus now is on England and the World Cup, but fitness issues have kept him out of the starting lineup for the Three Lions in their first two games.

Thomas Tuchel has now had his say on the Arsenal number seven, claiming that he is desperate to have him back fit and available.

“He seems to be more and more ready, and will hopefully push, and we will then see,” Tuchel told Sky Sports.

“It’s not like Bukayo comes back and everything is solved, and I don’t want to put this on his back. He’s a top player, that’s why he’s with us. And he will get his minutes. We need him, desperately, like every other player, in top shape.”

Arsenal fans react to Thomas Tuchel saying England desperately need Bukayo Saka

The importance of Bukayo Saka for England has been downplayed by many people in recent weeks.

However, Tuchel, who is one of the best managers in the world, thinks otherwise, and Arsenal fans are letting everyone know just how key their Starboy is.

One supporter said: “He’ll never admit it publicly, but Tuchel knows Saka is the difference between winning it or not. One of the best international performers in Europe for the last five years”

Another wrote: “Arteta and Tuchel know football in its purest form. The craziest thing is that we took the Premier League and the Champions League final with Saka at 30%. Wait until he gets back to 100%, just buckle up, we’ll handle the rest.”

“Face of England,” wrote another.

“One of the best managers in the game has been singing Rice’s and Saka’s praises and throwing on Arsenal players when he needs a goal. Think I’ll draw my conclusions from that and not from what people say on social media,” said another.

Another Gooner tweeted: “It’s funny how some people still try to downplay Bukayo Saka. Thomas Tuchel has an England squad full of elite players, and he’s openly talking about how much he needs Bukayo Saka. For years now, Saka has been one of England’s most important players. He delivers goals, assists, and consistently turns up in big moments. The discourse around him often doesn’t match the reality of the player.”

“Tuchel knows Saka is levels above the rest,” said another.

Bukayo Saka could make the difference for England at the World Cup

As much as rival fans and certain pundits want to deny it, Saka is one of the best players in the world.

The England international has been unbelievable for club and country for years now, but people seem to have forgotten about that.

That’s because Saka has had injury troubles over the last 18 months and hasn’t been anywhere near his full fitness in that time.

Despite that, the Arsenal number seven has produced great performances.

That shows why Tuchel rates him so highly, and we won’t be surprised at all if he ends up being the difference for England at this World Cup.
