Bukayo Saka was a talking point for Arsenal fans during the Gunners’ clash with Slavia Prague.

Saka opened the scoring for Arsenal in the 32nd minute at the Fortuna Arena, finding the net from the penalty spot after a handball was awarded.

Mikel Arteta would’ve been thankful for VAR’s intervention, as before the penalty was scored, the Gunners were really tested by Slavia Prague.

For the fifth time this season, Saka got himself on the scoresheet for Arsenal, but that wasn’t enough to impress supporters.

Arsenal fans were not impressed with Bukayo Saka’s performance against Slavia Prague

After Saka’s finishing was poor against Burnley, the winger would’ve been relieved to score in the Champions League.

Though the Hale End graduate is one of the most loved players amongst Arsenal fans, many weren’t too impressed with what the 24-year-old produced in Prague.

The discourse focused on how Saka was continually punished by Slavia’s full-back.

“Yo Saka getting bullied out there,” one Arsenal fan said on X, as others shared a similar opinion.

“Saka struggling as well.”

“I aint ever seen Saka get bodied like this.”

“Saka getting shifted so easily…”

It wasn’t just how well Slavia Prague marshalled Arsenal’s captain on the night that worried fans, as some raised their concern about Saka’s recent performances in general.

“Saka’s performance levels are concerning me icl. Why can’t he and Dec ever duck internationals,” one supporter said.

Another added, “Saka has been so frustrating to watch lately.”

One Arsenal fan even pondered if the winger was carrying an injury.

“Something is definitely off with Saka. Unsure if it’s fatigue, or fitness or if he’s carrying a niggle.”

It wouldn’t be the first time that Saka has performed poorly due to an issue he’d carried into a match, as against Crystal Palace, Arteta later confirmed that the 24-year-old had been ill.

Some supporters had a different view, though, as one fan strongly suggested that Saka might’ve already hit his peak.

“23/24 Saka might’ve been his peak. Just doesn’t look the same anymore.”

Such feedback was a shock and unjust as Saka was recently tremendous against Fulham, but that’s not to say that others didn’t agree that the forward isn’t himself.

“Bro what happened to saka? His performance is really shocking, did he lose his hunger or what?”

Saka made Champions League history against Slavia Prague

To summarise, fans weren’t thrilled with what they saw from Saka against Slavia Prague.

Performance aside, the England international will travel back to North London happy, as he actually made Arsenal history by finding the net.

Saka became the first Arsenal player to ever score in four consecutive Champions League away games, a feat worthy of huge celebration.

The academy graduate’s run started against Sporting CP, followed by him scoring against Real Madrid, PSG and then Slavia.

It was a tough game for every player in Prague, with Saka one whose performance was highlighted by supporters.
