There were jubilant scenes in the away corner of the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium as Gabriel Magalhaes put Arsenal 1-0 up.

It was a moment to remember for Gabriel, as the centre-back capped off his sublime defensive display with a goal against Spurs.

The defender’s 64th-minute header was the match-winner in N17, as Arsenal beat Tottenham for the third time in a row away from home.

As expected, the away end erupted as Gabriel’s powerful header fired past Guglielmo Vicario, with a lot to unpack from the celebration.

What Leandro Trossard did to Jarred Gillett when Arsenal scored vs Tottenham

Gabriel wheeled away in a passionate outburst of joy after giving Arsenal the lead, leading the celebration in front of the travelling supporters in the corner of the ground.

It was a magnificent view for Arsenal fans, as the centre-back was celebrated by defensive partner William Saliba and the entire squad who joined the party.

Two players did something hilarious before heading over to the corner to toast Gabriel’s goal, Leandro Trossard being one of them.

The Belgian was seen turning to referee Jarred Gillett to celebrate the Brazilian’s header prior to running to the corner flag to celebrate.

Ben White was another player whose celebrations were put under the microscope, as the Englishman directed his joy in the face of Spurs midfielder James Maddison.

Trossard and White didn’t have their best games against Tottenham however, their method of celebration became a talking point.

Gillett had a busy afternoon in the North London derby

Eight yellow cards were shown in the derby, with seven shown in the first half to put pressure on the two sides to tone things down slightly.

Arsenal hearts were in mouths as Jurrien Timber challenged Pedro Porro and then went head to head with Vicario in a hostile aftermath.

Gillett showed a yellow card to the Dutchman, with VAR checking the incident over to support the referee’s on-field decision against showing a red card.

Timber’s challenge on Porro split opinion, with Gillett doing the right thing in that instance to keep the game at 11 v 11.

In a fixture as emotionally fuelled as the North London derby, it was imperative that Gillett maintained control of the game, something that was questionable in the first half as an influx of yellows were awarded.

Still, the game remained fully stocked on both sides, with it a surprise to not see a penalty shown in the fixture which has become customary when the two clubs meet.
