All of a sudden, things seem to be falling apart for Arsenal.

Out of the FA Cup, beaten in the Carabao Cup and now a losing return to Premier League football.

We’ve been here before and seen Arsenal drop points towards the end of a season, and, scarily, it seems to be happening again.

This was a poor performance by Arsenal, and we’ve put together our player ratings for this game.

Who was Arsenal’s worst performer against Bournemouth?

Arsenal player ratings vs Bournemouth

David Raya – 6/10

Very unlucky for the opening goal. Couldn’t do much about the deflection as it looped over him. Second goal was also unstoppable. Other than that a solid enough performance. Distribution was excellent as always and very good at claiming balls from long throws.

Ben White – 3/10

Another shaky performance from White. Allowed his man to get in behind him for the opening goal, third poor performance in a row in an Arsenal shirt.

William Saliba – 4/10

Deflection off Saliba caused the first goal, fairly unlucky, but one that could ultimately have been avoided if he reacted more quickly. Seemed a bit off the pace in an uncharacteristic performance.

Gabriel Magalhães – 6/10

Solid force at the back, his presence in the box helped Arsenal win the penalty to equalise. Important tackle late in the game to stop it from going to 3-1.

Myles Lewis-Skelly – 5/10

Didn’t impress on his return to the starting XI. Did read the game very well in certain moments to stamp out trouble and inverted well.

However, nothing amazing. Worries pre-game about Rayan didn’t come to pass, but not enough to retain a starting spot you would imagine.

Martin Zubimendi – 4/10

Fans in the stadium were getting frustrated with Martin Zubimendi for passing backwards and sideways too often. Also struggled in his duels against Ryan Christie.

Zubimendi is brilliant for a game you’re dominating, but when you’re chasing he doesn’t offer enough.

Declan Rice – 7/10

Battled well in midfield, pulled his sleeves up and got stuck in when Arsenal went 1-0 down. Tried to put the team on his back, but was unable to carry a poor side. Captain’s performance.

Kai Havertz – 4/10

Mikel Arteta was apparently excited for the Kai Havertz and Viktor Gyokeres partnership to blossom, but they were disconnected today. Doesn’t seem wholly comfortable in his current position. Subbed on 53 minutes.

Noni Madueke – 5/10

Bright and direct as always, but didn’t manage to make tons happen in this one. Effort was there, but execution was amiss. Subbed on 53 minutes.

Viktor Gyokeres – 5/10

Pressed well in the opening 10 minutes, but faded after that. Scored a fantastic penalty, but seemed isolated again in general play and wasn’t involved enough. Missed a big chance at 2-1 down that could’ve saved the game.

Gabriel Martinelli – 4/10

Didn’t make much happen, had one moment where his pace got Arsenal in behind, but mostly the same old story here for Martinelli, final product simply wasn’t there.

Subs

Max Dowman – 4/10

Perhaps his most ineffective game in an Arsenal shirt so far. So often the positive spark in recent weeks, but wasn’t able to get going into a rhythm today. Hard to criticise at the age of 16, but not worthy of praise today. Worst rating of the season, but that’s a testament to how good he has been otherwise.

Leandro Trossard – 5/10

Better than Martinelli on that left side, but sometimes too weak on the ball. Worked his socks off to track back and tackle Alex Gimenez to halt a dangerous break and also block a dangerous chance from Tyler Adams. Can’t fault the effort, but attacking output wasn’t there.

Eberechi Eze – 6/10

Immediately brighter than Kai Havertz when he came on. Actively looked for the ball and tried to get forwards. Solid return from injury.

Cristhian Mosquera – 4/10

Didn’t quite look right at right-back. Thrown in due to Ben White proving to be unreliable. Hard to be too harsh, but didn’t provide what was needed off the bench.

Gabriel Jesus – 5/10

Looked dangerous off the bench, almost scored with a good header. May have a part to play before the season is over.
