Arsenal predicted XI vs Everton as Bukayo Saka is dropped and Kai Havertz starts

Arsenal face Everton on Saturday evening in what is another big game in the title race.

Everton know all about crashing title parties, in fact, David Moyes has a real history of doing just that over the years.

It was a 4-4 draw with Everton that cost Manchester United in 2012, while a loss to David Moyes’ West Ham back in 2023 cost Arsenal dearly too.

This won’t be an easy game, and if Arsenal are to win, Mikel Arteta needs to pick the right team.

With that in mind, we’ve had a go at predicting Arsenal’s starting XI for this match.

Arsenal’s potential starting XI vs Everton

We think Arsenal will field a strong side against Everton, but there could be one or two surprises in there.

What changes would you make to our predicted XI vs Everton?

Mikel Arteta’s back five almost picks itself at this point when everyone is fit, David Raya, Jurrien Timber, William Saliba, Gabriel Magalhaes and Riccardo Calafiori make up the defensive cohort.

Two other players who pick themselves are Declan Rice and Martin Zubimendi – the heart of Arsenal’s midfield.

With Martin Odegaard out injured, the other midfield spot is up for grabs, and we reckon Kai Havertz may get the nod there.

Havertz scored in midweek in the Champions League, and he does have that extra physicality against an Everton team that will be up for a fight.

On the flanks, we think Bukayo Saka may be dropped for Noni Madueke after his recent dip in form and Madueke’s upturn.

Meanwhile, Viktor Gyokeres continues to lead the line, while Gabriel Martinelli starts on the left flank.
