“May the best two teams win,” Rice said, joined by Arsenal Women striker Alessia Russo, with Arsenal Women also in action against City on Sunday.
While Jonas Eidevall’s side kick off their WSL campaign against City at the Emirates, Arteta will hope that his squad can secure three points on the fifth match day of the Premier League season.

Despite the challenge that awaits Arsenal, the Gunners will carry some confidence into the fixture given that they got the better of Guardiola’s champions last season.

Rice explained the magnitude of the challenge ahead, outlining the objective that will be in the away dressing room.
“It’s going to be tough, we know what they bring, probably the best team in the world. We believe in what we do, we believe in our process, the squad and the manager.
“We know they’re going to be a tough test but we’re ready to go there and be on the front foot and win.”
