Leandro Trossard’s future at Arsenal is up in the air.
The Belgian has entered the final year of his contract at the Emirates Stadium, and there is a feeling that he could be on the move.
However, for now, Trossard’s full focus is on Belgium at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, and he is exceeding everyone’s expectations in North America.
If Leandro Trossard isn’t Arsenal’s most clutch player, who is? 🤔
Leandro Trossard is the World Cup’s best chance creator
Almost every country at the World Cup has at least one incredible creator in their squad.
Everyone wants to see goals scored in the competitions, but without proper chances, no attacker can do the job in the final third.
That is why Belgium are so lucky to have Leandro Trossard.
The Arsenal star has been Rudi Garcia’s best player by a distance at the World Cup this summer and has played out of his skin in the opening three games.
Trossard created three chances in the draw against Egypt and six chances in the stalemate against Iran. He added four more in the win against New Zealand in the early hours of Saturday.
That’s 13 chances created in three games – no other player in the entire World Cup has managed so many in the group stages. (Sofascore)
On top of that, Trossard has scored twice so far as well, making him one of the standout attackers in the competition.

Leandro Trossard’s form is great news for Arsenal
Trossard’s incredible World Cup campaign definitely creates a dilemma at Arsenal.
The Gunners have been open to offers for the Belgian, and it does make sense to part ways with him, considering that he is on the wrong side of 30.
However, his form could tempt Arsenal to keep hold of him for another year.
Either way, this is good news for the Gunners because if they decide to sell, his value will be high. If they decide to keep him, this is proof that he can still deliver.
It now remains to be seen what Mikel Arteta and Andrea Berta will do.
