Bruno Guimaraes is one of Arsenal’s biggest targets this summer.
The Premier League champions are keen to strengthen their midfield so that they don’t have to repeat the mistake of overplaying Declan Rice and Martin Zubimendi.
Several midfielders have been linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium, but none more than Guimaraes over the last few weeks.
However, the Newcastle United star’s full focus is on the World Cup, and he is looking forward to playing against an Arsenal star – Martin Odegaard.

Zubimendi and Spain? Saka and England? Saliba and France?
Bruno Guimaraes says he wants to get the better of Martin Odegaard when Brazil face Norway
Brazil take on Norway in the Round of 16 of the World Cup.
Nobody really expected the Norwegians to go this far in the tournament, but Odegaard has led his side brilliantly to make history with his country.
On Sunday night, Odegaard will come up against a potential future Arsenal teammate in Bruno Guimaraes in the middle of the park.
The two players have faced each other several times in the Premier League, and they have both had success in their individual battles.

At the World Cup now, Guimaraes has publicly claimed that he wants to get the better of Odegaard.
When asked about the ‘phenomenal’ Arsenal captain, he said, as per Goal: “I hope I can get the upper hand. The game is collective, but these individual duels are important.
“We have to be on a good day. Everything can be decided in a few moments. They are a team that, with a set piece or a foul, can decide it.
“I want to continue making history here. I think it will be an interesting game, and may the best team win, and may the best be us.”
💰 Bruno Guimaraes is turning 29 in November and has TWO years left on his contract… How much should Arsenal pay to sign him?
Bruno Guimaraes could form a stunning partnership with Martin Odegaard at Arsenal
Guimaraes would take Arsenal’s midfield to a whole new level.
The Gunners already have Rice and Odegaard as regular starters in the middle of the park, and they are both incredible on their day.
Adding Guimaraes into the mix, either as a number six or an eight, would make Arsenal’s midfield the best in the Premier League.
However, nothing is expected to happen until after the World Cup, which is why all the focus is on Brazil’s clash against Norway on Sunday night.
