Bukayo Saka sends three-word demand to Arsenal fans after disappointing Newcastle defeat

Arsenal winger Bukayo Saka has reacted to the Gunners’ unacceptable defeat to Newcastle United.

On a day when Mikel Arteta’s side had to win, Arsenal put on an incredibly lacklustre display at St James’ Park. 

The visitors were unable to bounce back from Alexander Isak’s 12th minute goal, seeing their run without a Premier League win extend to three matches.

Arsenal’s current form is not at the level expected for title challengers, giving Arteta and his players a lot to discuss on the long trip back to the capital.

Bukayo Saka reacts to Arsenal defeat to Newcastle United

After losing to Bournemouth and squandering two leading positions against Liverpool to eventually draw, Newcastle was considered a must-win.

Instead, a 1-0 defeat played out, pushing Arsenal seven points away from the top spot and in a position where near perfection would be required to be in with a chance of winning the league.

The players looked dejected after the defeat however, one figure came out and made his demands known.

Captain on the day Bukayo Saka was clear with his reaction to the loss, posting a picture of the scoreline on his Instagram story with a three word message. 

“We stick together,” the winger said, calling his team to remain strong during a disappointing patch of form.

Bouncing back is exactly what Arteta’s side have to do, with even greater challenges coming up in the Premier League and the Champions League.

Arsenal’s November fixtures

A trip to Newcastle United is never easy but, it’s arguably about to get even harder for Arsenal, emphasising the importance of bouncing back.

Next up, the Gunners head to the San Siro to battle Inter Milan, followed by a trip to Stamford Bridge to face Enzo Maresca’s in form side, a squad different to the Chelsea of last season.

Then, it’s back to the Emirates to host high-flying Nottingham Forest, before returning to the road to challenge Sporting CP and West Ham United.

After losing to Newcastle, there’s a feeling that the rest of November could be somewhat conclusive to Arsenal’s claim to the Premier League title race, with every fixture a must-win.
