Draw hampers Man City top four hopes - Shame!!

Arsenal and Manchester shared a stale 0-0 Premier League draw at the Emirates Stadium that did neither side any favours.

The point for the Gunners puts them mathematically out of the title race, while City failed to take advantage of Tottenham’s 3-1 defeat at Old Trafford earlier on Saturday and they remain in fifth place, one point behind Spurs with three games remaining.
The day got worse for City manager Roberto Mancini when, with 15 minutes remaining, goalkeeper Shay Given was stretchered off with what could prove to be a serious shoulder injury that may rule him out of the vital clash with Spurs on Wednesday May 5.
The main sub-plot behind the match, however, was the return to the Emirates Stadium of Emmanuel Adebayor. The Togo striker’s acrimonious departure for City last summer was compounded when, during September’s 4-2 win over the Gunners, he raked his studs down the face of Robin van Persie before celebrating his goal by sprinting the full length of the Eastlands pitch to celebrate his goal in front of the travelling fans.
Although former Gunners Patrick Vieira and Kolo Toure were in the City starting line-up, it was Adebayor’s presence in North London that drew the attention, but the Togo striker failed to break the deadlock after appearing as a second-half substitute. However, his introduction did give van Persie the opportunity for a little retribution, and the Dutchman earning a booking for a late tackle that sent his former team-mate flying.
