The winger was sensational during the 2-0 win over Bayer Leverkusen at the Emirates Stadium and scored the goal which set the team on the way to victory.

Eze looks to finally be hitting his best form at Arsenal, just at the right moment and could be a key player in the business end of the season.

Therefore, it’s so important that the midfielder looks okay despite being forced off with what looked to be an issue with his ankle.

Eberechi Eze has revealed that he will be ‘ok’ after going off injured during Arsenal’s 3-1 aggregate win over Bayer Leverkusen in the Champions League.

In the 69th minute, the 27-year-old went down holding his ankle, and Mikel Arteta took no risks by subbing him off for Kai Havertz.

Fortunately, speaking after the game, the midfielder explained that he is fine and is likely to start on the weekend in the Carabao Cup final.

When asked about the knock to his ankle, which saw him subbed off, Eze told TNT Sports: “Yeah, I’m alright, I’ll be ok!”

Martin Odegaard hopes to be back for the cup final on the weekend, but he now finds himself behind Eze in the pecking order for the number ten role.

At Crystal Palace, this stage of the season is when Eze really came alive, with 18 of his 38 Premier League goals coming in the latter half of the season.

His performances over recent weeks, which have been aided by finally getting a run in the team, suggest he is ready to make a big push to help the team win big titles.
